I had a similar sort of problem years back...
I would make song compilations by taping my favourite songs from CD to cassette. At one point it seemed that the songs were a bit 'slow' and I wasn't sure whether it was my imagination or not.

I don't know exactly how Limewire works but I doubt that it is your computer. Maybe there is something wrong with the coding of the song file? Where's Zeke when you need him Laughing we need a computer person.

Spoke to a mate about it, i now realise you can listen to the song whilst its downloading giving you the choice if you want that paticular song or not, apparantly a lot of songs end up that way, some songs have been good whilst other songs sound like the smurfs are singing if you get what i mean...i dont like good old collingwood forever sounding smurfish
thanks anyway dave, appreciated mate Smile

be very careful too Joffa. When I download, before i actually open the file, I run a virus scan over it. I used to use limewire and found there were a lot that had virus's or trojans in them.

you might want to try downloading via Torrents, bit slower, but you can download from more people. I think there's a thread in the Tavern about it. You'll still need a client to download from.

LoL I prefer not to use limewire... Itz now loaded with MILLIONS of viruses. I had one typing out stuff for me Smile
Best way to go is with itunes. Although the songs cost $1.69 it is well worth the quality and it is virus free!

Yes you are right.. It is only the limewire download that is sounding weird.

Bearshare Lite is a good program, the free Bearshare has a lot of spyware so I downloaded the Lite one without all the crap.

I've been using eMule for 3 years now and have had maybe 2 infected files. It's not as fast as some of the other programs downloading wise, but it has literally everything, obscure 1960's docos, e-books, no-name arthouse films from the 50s.

It's great!
