hey mate, pretty sure its illegal to copy CTV links onto you tube, so don't think anyone will be able to help you there.

Dave you are aware ofcourse that this is a "Collingwood Supporter Fansite" don't you? asking for collingwoodfc.com.au exclusive content to be pirated and/or provided to you undermines the whole point of this entire site.
You have been asked a few times, I have noted, not to ask for copyrighted material on here, so how about you stop or go somewhere else and ask, we are not about to have nigh on 12 years of loyal support for Collingwood ruined by your thirst for copyrighted material.
can't happen? go ask the hawks fansite that got taken down this year.

Is there a cost to signing up for it? I think Bigpond members get it for free or something right?
DTM, even if there was some on YouTube the AFL would have been all over it with a finetooth comb removing it, now that Google has taken over YouTube any and all copyrighted material has been removed from the site.
Well at least they are attempting to remove.

It is illegal to post CTV material on You Tube, but you seem to think that it's ok to post AFL copyrighted material there instead. |

A lot of the members weren't too happy upon hearing the news of the closure, which wasn't just over the copyrighted material, it was that the owner of the site didn't want to be responsible anymore any breaches and didn't want to be out of pocket so he decided to close it down.
Reading the memo from the AFL on the site they were allowed to keep it operating but remove all copyrighted material from the site (images, and jumper designs, logos, etc.)
A site I was admin of was given the same warning, if we didn't remove the club logos (we used those as buttons to the team boards) we would most probably have been closed down as well. Though the board was then hacked and is dead now anyway...

i hear the hhq is running but know exclusive club or some where along thoses lines can not get in unless invited

I have tried to watch through Bigpond but it never comes up. If someone can fix that problem then I will use that but I want to watch the Segments but I can't!

Yeah Favorite 2006 has Stuff From AFL broadcast and a magpie DVD on You Tube.

I was reading the board, and they were looking for new homes a week before they were going to close (the date the owner said he was going to shut) since I think maybe July or August i haven't been back on that site so I didn't know if they were still around.

there is a new home from what i hear but my hawk friend won't tell me in case i cause some trouble ;D but from another hawk friend who does have access it is by invite only but another reckons they are slowly getting people in but you can not read anything on their site its locked out when i last checkedfrom what i hear not as many post in there reckon it would be a boring place in there now with most posters gone

Well, the new HHQ is better than the version that had to be shut down because a member decided to call for an Umpires head and posted this umpires work address and phone number. The AFL took a dislike to this and as a result the site was shut.
It is now an invite only site with the caveat that if you invite someone onto the site and they cause trouble then you are held responsible and can have your privelages revoked.
There is now a higher level of debate that occurs there because of the restrictions. Compare HHQ with Hawksnest and you will see an amazing difference.
I just remembered another site that I'm on has a "private" area as well. It's a Holden Commodore "club" site that has public areas and a private area for people who pay a membership fee. I find the fees to be more than worthwhile as this gives you access to people who want to do more than just slag off Fords or Jap crap cars, which most of the public area seems devoted to. |
