We have become a nation of dobbers and do gooding wowser's and a lot of us are fed up with people who have nothing better to do than run to cops or security or write to football clubs with bullshit complaints.

To all the dickheads who are complaining about a few plastic bottles being thrown in the air (during last night's cricket) go and get a life and get stuffed while your at it.

I wasn't there but i would of been in bay 13 had i have gone and would of loved every minute of it ( i strongly condemn stuff being thrown onto the ground as it could injure players).

Apparantly its offensive to enjoy yourself at sporting stadiums today i can see soon we will introduce "fart" police where it will be deemed offensive to 'let go' with a rip roaring fluff at any sporting stadium.

Now back to the cricket to those dickheads who dont like the behaviour of the fine people who sit in or around the old bay 13 area its simple DONT SIT THERE !!

And to all the over reacting jacks and security dickheads you will find any suburban chemist with ample supplies of constapation drugs.

To all you cricket wowsers who were offended last night please remember channel nine produces a good broadcast.

Hey Joffa I recon that ALL the KIWI's ahd the shits bacause the Aussie were in front at that stage,or was it a 'copper' doing the maccerina.
Maybe it might have been the dickheads fineing McGrath for not going off the pitch after NOT HITTING THE BALL.
I still maintain that a good kiwi is one over in NZ.No offence meant to present company.
My daughter-in-law is one and she is so arrogant, thatb she shits me to tears.Nothing is good enough for her.I just wish she would go back there and leave us alone.

before the canberra folk start complaining about us, i reckon they should have a look at themselves.

canberra shouldn't even be australia's capital city. it should just stick to being the capital of australia's porn video industry.

i mean, even the roads in canberra are ridiculous. so many roundabouts, it's like your driving on pubic hair.

Could not agree more Joffa, another example of interferring do gooders is this carry on about drunken sailors. In saying this I do not condone any sexual assault, that must be treated accordingly. However sailors on the piss after 3 months at sea being a bit loud and causing trouble, seems normal to me.

Now now Foxy, us Collingwood people here in Canberra were not that bad were we? I'm afraid your going to find dick heads averywhere, and I admit we have our fair share here in Canberra. That clown wrote to the Canberra Times as well, it seems to me that he had never encountered a real football crowd in his miserable closeted existence. I sat close to the squad and saw or heard nothing offensive or out of the ordinary.

magpie joffa, people were complaining about the crowd, because of the rubbish (including glass) being thrown at players and officials - not just "a few plastic bottles". If this didn't happen, it wouldn't have threatened the safety of the people there and hold up the game by 10 minutes. The behaviour of the Collingwood Cheersquad is fine and the members do a great job. But if the Cheersquad started throwing glass at opposition players, I wouldn't be supportive. Now I know that in your post you "strongly condemn stuff being thrown onto the ground as it could injure players", but it is important to remember that this is what caused the uproar. If this didn't happen, people wouldn't be complaining. Also I don't see why it's necessary to throw rubbish to "enjoy yourself at sporting stadiums today". A few years back, people throwed up paper and streamers in the Mexican wave and that was great, but if it's going to be golf balls and glass bottles, then the people throwing the objects shouldn't do it. Don't worry, I don't sit in that area, so the if you don't like it, don't sit there advice isn't applicable. But just because I don't sit there doesn't mean I'm going to glorify it, because that sort of behaviour isn't appropriate if it is putting the people's health at risk. There are other ways to enjoy yourself than to throw glass at people. As Steve Waugh says "the majority of people are there to watch the game and the other people are there to interrupt it".

This might come as a shock to anyone who sits near me at the football, but when I go to the cricket (which is about once a year ... to the Boxing Day Test) I sit in the M.C.C. members with a friend of mine who gets me a guest pass. I never yell or throw anything. I politely applaud any good play by either side. And, like the rest of the Members, I steadfastly refuse to join in on the Mexican Wave. And then, during the Tea interval, I go and get myself a nice cuppa tea.

In other words, I watch cricket like a gentleman ... and I look down with great disdain on the Bay 13 rif-raff.

But then, that one-day tippety-go rubbish isn't "cricket" anyway.

Listen Magpie Joffa, there's nothing wrong with enjoying yourself at sporting stadiums but not everyone enjoys the same thing, and that's ok so long as we don't spoil it for others. People who don't enjoy excessive drinking, swearing, racist remarks, throwing of projectiles and general abuse at public places shouldn't necessarily be called wowsers or dickheads. It's embarressing when Collingwood supporters behave that way in public. Alan McAllister recognised that and so does Eddie.
The cricketers(including the Aussie players)were shocked at the
behaviour of the yobboes.
It's ridiculous to suggest that people who don't like that behaviour shouldn't sit in Bay 13. That'd be ok if the yobboes could be quarantined but I think that being in Bays 12 or 14 wouldn't be a pleasant experience.
I have a better solution. Let the yobboes stay at home; they can all get together, get drunk, fart as much as they like, abuse each other, and throw things at the television.
As for the Kangaroos disappearing from the AFL, I think Magpie Joffa would prefer it if we played Carlton, Essendon and the interstate clubs in 6 weekly rotating formats. It'd be pretty boring but it would be easier for Magpie Joffa. He wouldn't have that many clubs to think about denigrating.

Harrysz you make sense with your statement "Let the yobboes stay at home; they can all get together, get drunk, fart as much as they like, abuse each other, and throw things at the television."

magpiejoffa, if you think the behaviour at the cricket on Friday was acceptable, then I suppose at your BBQ next month, you would think it's OK for people to throw rubbish around your street and then when "wowsers" get cops over to your house you throw glass bottles at the cops, and then as people leave your house they king hit innocent people from behind.

I'm tipping that it wouldn't make for an enjoyable BBQ. Maybe you should get the full facts before dismissing it as "a few plastic bottles being thrown in the air".

yeah it did get ridiculous at the cricket. bay 13 does affect you even if youre not sitting there, hearing uproars every couple of minutes and play being stopped, they interrupted the game and thats not acceptable. why do they think that just cos theyre at the cricket they can act like morons? its bloody well annoying. the majority of people go there to watch the game, not watch the idiots that stop play.

and i wouldnt crap on about going there and having a ball, because the way its going there wont be cricket there anymore. or if people continue to abuse the fact that they are allowed to drink alcohol, then think they have a god given right to act like fools then they will find that alcohol will no longer be available.

The other thing that should be done at the MCG to stop all the YOBBOS,is to stop the booze from going into the ground,or is that stopped now.Either that or stop selling the bloody stuff and that might staop the idiots from upseting every one else.Anyway BAY 13 is always known for the idiots, but you cant stop them.
See what happens today.

MEMO to all the guys who got arrested for offending the liberal church going non life idiots at the cricket.

Read your charge sheets very carefully and your summons as well
the jacks here in victoria are well known to collaberate and bullshit statements.

And to that guy on tv last night who was defenceless on the ground whilst a hero jack was belting the shit out of him im sure you can sue the arse of him!!

Nothing wrong with a bit of noise at a sporting staduim shit i thought that was meant to be normal.

Just read and listen to all the dickheads write to the editorials and radio stations this week you will find these people have no life and find it offensive to observe others enjoying them selves.

Again i say throwing stuff onto a sporting arena is a no go, if you find people enjoying themselves offensive what the hell are you doing sitting in and around bay 13 for god sake!!!!

OK lets give the wowsers an area where they can all jump on there match box and tell us all what fine living folk they are and lets keep bay 13 for people who just want to have a good time.

And for goodness sake lets do something about the facist pigs and mentally deficient security guards at sporting venues.

PEOPLE

I have just read all the stuff i have posted and yes i appear to be over the top and a little angry.

I only know too well how over the top police and security handle themselves at sporting events.

And it dissapoints me to see all sections of the community want to quash any sort of passion displayed at any sporting event.

It will kill the game as we knew it, if its fair for people who want to sit with families and enjoy themselves in a sensible way im all for it.

But lets not forget passion in all australian sporting event is its heartbeat stop that heartbeat and you kill the passion and therefor that sport.

The people in bay 13 were doomed before the game started and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.

A lot of us know, many sad people in all aspects in life who find it hard to digest people having fun.

sorry if i was over the top or offended anyone.

I got forced to go to the boring cricket last night.

There are about 5 bays that obviously just go to party. It was very hard to sit and watch it with all the comotion going on around you.
Joffa i would suggest you go along just to see what does happen and you know me i love a drink and a party BUT THIS IS OVER THE TOP even for me.
Talking to a copper about Fri night and he said they started throwing glass bottle's from the top deck of the Southern stand.

PS:i sat in the Olympic, not the Southern.

Have a good one.

let's separate the issue from the start - the people who throw bottles and other missiles at the cricket are NOT passionate, or parochial, or loyal. they are idiots pure and simple. they consist of a minority of thugs who instigate things, followed by other hoons who decide to jump on the bottle throwing bandwagon. they ruin things for those who are truly passionate and vocal, but are not violent. I'm not talking about swearing, "rowdy" behaviour or passionate barracking; I'm talking about violence. these idiots force the police and security to crack down on everyone, so I don't feel an iota of sympathy for them.

I don't understand the mentality of these idiots...maybe they are immature, maybe they are stupid, maybe they like being berated by the captain of the team whom they have come to supposedly support, or maybe they just have very small penises and need other avenues to vent their frustrations. fair enough, people have the right to be loud and passionate, after all it IS a sporting event, but then other people also have the right to not be subjected to violence or crap like bottle throwing.

I reckon these idiots should be banned so that the true passionate and vocal sport fans can enjoy themselves and not have their names tarnished by morons.
