Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the SCG verge on circular? Thus, you'd expect the ground would be, at least, quite wide relative to its length.

As for Shaw, well, I've said it a few times now, but I hope he does well for the Swans. It's going to hurt seeing him play against us, I have to say.

Quote:
which sydney grounds have wide wings and flanks? Surprised

if anything, there will a smaller margin for error.

Melbourne Cricket Ground, Yarra Park, Jolimont, Vic.
Ground Dimensions: 172.7m by 149m. Goals run east to west

Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, New South Wales
Ground Dimensions: 159.4m by 155m. Goals run north to south

thanks. Wink

with the shorter goal to goal distance i'm not convinced the scg presents the greater space out wide.

If the wing to wing on the SCG is wider than the wing to wing on the MCG yet has a shorter goal to goal length please explain how it is possible that the SCG is more narrow from goal to goal

Confused
