Can they honestly say that Murphy's 17 possies and 1 goal in the first quarter were better than Thomas's 16 and 2 goals in the first quarter?

If we'd won, I'd say that DT would have got the nod. Personally, I think DT deserved the nomination. _________________ "There's an old saying in Tennessee, I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee, that says, fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Money to the junior club and a few other goodies, I think.
Well played, Murph, much deserved - Thommo's time will come. |

Murphy was not better than Thomas...that is rubbing salt to the wounds. Thomas's mark alone was worth a nomination. Agreed that his time will come but. _________________ There's more to life than footy.........just not much more. |

I think that Thomas and Murphy's performances were pretty similar, but since our boy played against a much stronger team than Murphy did, then Thomas should have got the rising star nomination this week. |

Well everything points to Thomo winning it... but could it be the decision on Rising Star was made before last nights game?
Otherwise I don't get it... higher quality opposition... 1 more goal.. 3 more marks.... 1 less possession... and mark of the round.... go figure! |

Exactly. i think its more that they won, and we didnt.
Which is sort of fair enough in a way, but still.
As long as its not just cos Marc is #1 and Daisy is #2. |

This kid loves the big stage and what better opportunity than QB on Monday to strutt his stuff again. Could be the tonic (along with Taz) for a side which might be feeling a little bruised and weary after last week. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Yep, I am hoping for the Dale and Pendles show
First time the two Gippsland power teammates have played for the Pies together, exciting stuff. |

Dale came alive on Anzac Day. He kicked a powerful goal from outside the 50 arc.
Pendles will be a very good player, but he will find it a "handful" this year. _________________ Collingwood For Life! |

I'd love to see them with 35 possessions, 15 marks and a couple of goals between them.
Hopefully this is the first of 250 games they play together |
