Well if the subject is 50 percent male and 50 percent female then it is a matter of choice..............dont ya think?

I'm confused. Did this person compete in a men's event as a woman or a women's event as a man?
How did he/she fail a gender test? And what are the implications for the 2007 AFL season?

It's tough, but my view on this has always been the same:
I guess the assumption was that she may have had an unfair advantage over the other female competitors. I don't know whether that is the case.
The fact is that, for whatever reason, they still separate men's and women's athletics events, and so I guess a problem like this was bound to happen some time.
As for surgery, I find the idea repellent that someone would have to undergo surgery (like that) just so they could participate in a sporting event.

It certainly would not be the first time that has happened and you really have to feel for someone in this situation. She obviously feels female and for all intents and purposes is.

There's only one way to determine whether they are male or female - give them driving test!
This should determine, without a doubt, what gender they really are. |
