Its not surprising many avid footy supporters find cricket unbelievably boring.

Footy is meant to be watched intensely. Turn away for a second and the whole game can change.

Cricket on the other hand embraces the Australian laid back attitude to sport and the outdoors. Going to the cricket is not about the cricket and thats where many people get it wrong. Its about sitting out in the sun with your mates drinking beers and generally partying with everybody around you. The cricket game itself is just the background entertainment you occasionally glance up at to see whats going on. In the good old days of the hill at the SCG and easy alcohol purchasing going to the cricket was a riot. There was the babes in bikinis, the beach balls bouncing through the stands, the jeering, heckling and banter.

Unfortunately all thats changed as like anything there are always the minority who can't handle themselves.

I watched bits and pieces of the cricket, had someone else to watch...I meant something else. Wink

Watched the end of it today, looking forward to the 2nd test Smile
