I would like to see Rocca, Molloy, Rintoul and Cummings all on the field at the same time. I reckon that would make the opposition players pretty nervous when they are running back with the flight of the ball. They would need the courage of a Burns or Lockyer to keep their line. Here is a strong team in my opinion, but I would be likely to change it after I see how the new recruits go in the preseason games:

B - Burns, Wakelin, Clement
HB - Kinnear, Molloy, Lonie
C - Didak, Buckley, Lockyer
HF - N. Davis, Rocca, Rintoul
F - L. Davis, Cummings, Tarrant

Followers - Fraser, Licuria, O'Bree

Interchange - Cloke, Holland, Richardson, Steinfort

You will not have a forward line with Cummings Rocca Molloy and Tarrant. Too top heavy.

So, assuming all players are fit

FF: L. Davis Tarrant Cummings
HF: Adkins Molloy N Davis
c: Licca Buckley Rintoul
HB: Lonie Rocca Clement
FB: Burns Presti Richardson

F: Fraser OBree Didak

INT: From: Kinnear, Cloak, B Johnson Clement Holland Wakelin Shaw Steinfort

Or of course you can put Rocca back at CHF, Cummings to the bench and Kinnear / Cloak / Richo at CHB. That would be my guess, and Cummings to rotate off the bench. But if Rocca's not fit, he may have to take FP and Molloy to CHF.

B. T. Lockyer S. Prestigiacomo S. Wakelin

HB P. Licuria J. Molloy R. Lonie

C. J. Clement N. Buckley A. Didak

HF C. Tarrant A. Rocca N. Davis

F. L. Davis S. Cummings B. Holland

R. J. Fraser RR S. Obree

R S. Burns

INT: D. Adkins B. Kinnear C. Rintoul G. Freeborn

EMER: C. Steinfort G. Richards B. Johnson

Playing Molloy at CHB will strengthen up our Backline physically. Adkins is like a new recruit this year and people shouldnt forget his first year of football the year before where he played some great games.

If Guy Richards can play Senior football next year and be half decent then this should provide the necesdsary improvement to bring usd into the top 6.

My best team is similar to JLC's only with some tweaking.

B:Kinnear-Prestigiacomo-Scotland
HB:Clement-Wakelin-Lonie
C: Burns-Obree-Lockyer
HF:N Davis-ARocca-Molloy
F: Holland-Tarrant-LDavis
Foll:Frazer-Buckley-Licuria

Int:Rintoul - Adkins - Didak - Cummings

Notable misses by a bee's dick:
B Johnson(personal Fav)
S Mckee
Steinfort
Freeborn
Cloke
Betheras

I think Scotland needs to be in the side a fair bit more next year.He has genuine mongrel and is a potential in and under with excellent disposal. We need a pacy half back line hence Clement and Lonie on the flanks and either when drifting can get back and kick goal. Burns, elder statesman, although only 26 should be freed up in the midfield at this stage of his career running straight throught the centre circle in bounce down situations.
In the guts at centre bounce ideally Frazer-Obree-Buckely-Licuria as good as any other on ball division going around.
Holland in the forward pocket used as an alternative to Cummings and brodie should get more midfield time if fitness allows.
Ditto Leon Davies who will be literally magic next year.
Many dont have Rints in our best line up but when you have a guy who can give you a fair bit of physical prescence you cant over look him. Will protect younger blokes and is a capable contributor.Wakes Down back is a question mark(?) great bloke, great leader but I feel Molloy will be heading on back there a fair bit if the going gets a bit much perhaps not at Wakes expense but we must perservere with Kinnear and Presty...they are our backbone as we push for a flag.
Didak and adkins on the bench purley to work them into it without making unrealistic demands on their abilities. Didak can be anything but must nevertheless 'earn' his spot. Reputation
and potential should not be the catalyst for senior footy. We all know he can do , he just needs to do it.....
Finally B Johnson is a personal fav out of our younger brigade.Sure he aint as 'gifted'as a Didak or an Adkins but gosh knows he is all guts and a fierce competitor. I love the fact he is our number 26 and feel he will honour it justly.

Bring on 2002 somebody please./..............

r: fraser buckley didak (oozzzess class)

to me this is the best line up that COLLINGWOOD can produce in 2002 and its open for discussion and opinion.
ff: holland cummings rocca
cf: magic davis tarrant nick davis
c: lonie o'bree lockyer
cb: rintoul molloy clement
fb: burns wakelin or richo cloke or hill
r: fraser buckley didak
int: licuria richards kinnear adkins
emerg: cole swan freeborn

what does everyone think.
The explanation is simple the spine is one of height apart from the center line.
There is plenty and plenty of run through the midfield with the like of o'bree, lonie, lockyer, fraser, buckley and didak.
The chb line is one of strenght and height in the shape of rintoul, molly and clement this offers presents and a wall.
The fb line offers courage and run from burns and cloke or hill. Full back dutys are given to either wakelin or richo both are relable and acts basically as a stoper.
The chf line is the most exciting where tarrant acts as the strong tall chf with the davis brothers working along side to act as the crumbers around tarrant.
The ff line is the opposite to the chf line where you have 2 tall marking options in the way of rocca and cummings and 1 crumber to swoop on them in the shape of brodie holland.
The bench offers flexablity where 2 young and fast midfeilders in licuria and adkins a running defender in kinnear and the most important ingrediant a back up ruck man in richards to work in tandem to fraser.
All in all this line up is one flexablity and verisitale. But is also well balanced at the same time so it is the perfect mix.

timagpie, I thought that Licuria winning the Copeland would be more than enough to bring to your attention that he is more than serviceable player and that he should start on the ground. You do have a lot of good selections though.

Go Rupert 10, I hope Betheras does show us that he is still a gun. I'm a big wrap for him and hope that he gets into the senior lineup. But I'm also a big wrap for the players that I selected and you can't play everyone on the list in every game.

AJ i know that licuria is worthy of a start in the line up. But where do you place him ? Maybe a spot in defense working along side burns as a running linkman is worth a try.
To me the midfield is set from the likes of o'bree, lonie, lockyer, didak and buckley.
