Yep, I'll rush in and support the effect on the enviroment by supporting the over populating of the planet with animals bred only for food consumption. Those bloody cows are drinking the water dams dry, selfish beasts!

I'll have 1 chemical mac burger thanks and super size me, I'm 2 kilo's overweight and friggin starving!..Oh but wait, there aren't any chemicals in beef burgers at mac donalds-according to their ad. So cows grow and mature in a blink of an eye do they?...hmmm I'll have what their (cows) eating, it must be good for you... Idea

Where I live, there are 3 major supermarkets, each and every one is stock piled with red & white meat. Not to mention the few butcher shops operating around and within the supermarkets. Now, that isn't even one completed suburb! And I still have the rest of Victoria, the other states of Australia and then, the whole planet. Seems to me there are some v e r y fast growing cows around, filling butcher shops and supermarkets weekly!...Healthy animals ey? No chemicals ey? Rolling Eyes

Now, about those fries.........

Favourites 2006, it seems that the only true carer's of children, are you and I and all those who are non politically motivated.

In the year 2006 you'd think the planet would thrive with healthy human's. We send crafts into space and send back "images" of other planets but we are a very sick world!..WHY? Why is it that, more than ever before we are sick/dying with cancer / diabetes / mental disorders..etc!

Don't get me wrong, anyone wanting to donate will! And that is fine, it makes people feel good to donate.

...but why are our children who are so young - so sick!

LOL some funny stuff in this topic..

Good on Maccas for donating money to sick kids..the huge PR from such a day will have many people thinking ' hey this mobs ok look at what they're doin for the kids...when in fact the crap they sell causes obesity in young children rendering them sick...so lets make em sick.... then lets organise a day to donate money.. so we can make em better better again... so they can come back and get sick again....LOL what a cruel and hideous cycle Shocked

In all fairness to Maccas the Ranald McDonald house for kids with cancer is a fantastic thing Smile

I dont agree that McDonalds is the cause of "those" kids health problems. The real cause of obesity is parenting and genetics. Trust me i study it enough, if parents from an early age teach children about the right foods to eat we wouldn't have this problem. The charity is a fantastic organisation. They helped my mum stay with my sister when she was really sick, it saved mum travelling 3 hours a day in heavy traffic. And btw most of the kids using help from Ronald Mcdonald house charities are not obese and have far more serious problems.

Yes Mcdonalds is the bud of most jokes (even from me) but i think they are doing something really right here.

It's so true, isn't it... after all, up until a certain age it is parents who decide what their children eat, and if they choose to bring the family to McDonald's twice a week, it will be no surprise if their children aren't as healthy as they could be.
It's not just McDonald's, either... it's ice-cream, playstation2 and potato chips between meals. When it comes down to it, it's the way the children are raised.
