What about taking a risk on Scott Cummings?

On his day, he's a match winner, and is more likely to win us games than either Fatty O'Farrell or Fast Fading Fletcher.

Of course, it would be subject to a medical check and a attitude assesment, but the last time he played under Mick he kicked 97 goals.

No chance. He is fat, lazy and has only produced spasmotically over his career. Anyway, who would you leave out of our forward line?
Tarrant, Molloy, Fraser, Rocca, Bucks (if we get another quality midfielder). To put cummings in, someone has to go, and he is certainly not as good as the 5 I have just mentioned.

We do not need a tall forward and he is past his best anyway.

Why not take a risk on Mick Martyn, Craig Bradley and Michael Long too. I'm sure we could tempt them with all the spare room in our salary cap now that we aint getting Misiti. I mean if Fletcher is such a steal and Scott Cummings then hell maybe we could organise a special super deal to get all 5 players.

Come on, the more pace the better, fletcher and co might be good short term (maybe a few weeks) but they definately arent the difference between us being an ordinary and super team. We have the team in place, some more experience may be good but not if its gonna be detrimental to the club, and definately not at the expense of players such as heath scotland, damian adkins, ben johnson, alan didak, rupert betheras and co. Come on lets try and coax hardie, plain, mitchell and mcadam back too.

We have three talls and two smalls of great quality in our forward line. We don't need a player who is just going to clog up the space for Tarrant - who will kick a ton soon - to run into. NO

I think Bart Cummings would be worth a shot in the forward line. Sure he's old but he's won 11 Melbourne Cups so he's doing something right.

Rowdy,
I think that is an excellent suggestion. Get all the old blokes on our list. Then we can wear Navy Blue and noone will be able to tell us apart from Carlton. We'll have to work on getting Eddie P*ssed before he speaks in public though or we will give ourselves away.

Spot on, Fradam. Yeah Bart would be a gun. Remember, he taught Rogan Josh all he knows.

Just in case you missed the point of my other post, I'm expecting to be appointed assistant coach, or at least assistant to Noel.

Mind you, I'm not sure I'm that proud that I raised the matter in the first place. Prove me wrong Scotty!

BTW - we he needs a nickname (be nice).
