Channel 9 up for sale

Well Packer has done what he said that he would do...show more interest in the casinos and sell the 9 network.
Why didnt he do this before the fight for TV rights,then we may have got a buyer who was more interested in AFL than thugby League.
Apparently a decision will be made by Thursday,BUT all PBL shares have been suspended......
Any one want to buy a TV station??????????

They are just spinning Nine, Foxtel, magzines, internet etc into a new media company seperate from the casino side of PBL with Packer still having majority control of the new company

I recon that I could offer PBL $50:00 for Ch9 and show nothing but AFL 24/7 then at leasrt we wouldnt have to worry abouyt Fox Footy any more....Eddie would be in charge and we all live happily every after????

Maybe Collingwood could buy channel 9. Fantastic, we might have the Daicos cup live to air.

You have to get it right - they are selling a share of it raise additional capital to buy up when the media laws are relaxed.

Packer will buy internationally as well as locally.

Casino business is way bigger money than TV networks and PBL will only keep getting bigger.
