A GEELONG high school has launched a crackdown on students hugging, kissing and shaking hands.
Geelong High School says it has ordered pupils to reconsider physical contact between each other, but denies issuing a ban.
Parents say the school softened its stance only after the issue became public.
Students were warned against showing affection to each other at assemblies on Tuesday.
Annette Watkins, whose daughter Caitlin attends the school, said the school's warning to students was unequivocal.

Weird.
Considering at my school a fair bit of public smooching goes on, I'm surprised that they're getting so upset about hugging and shaking hands down there

Our school tried to ban than when I was in year 8 (so about 4 yrs ago) because we were scaring the year 7's! It never got passed though. I guess you could say our school is close... HAHA JOKE!
Weird thing though... :S

Well Joel's brother who is in Yr 6 went on camp last week, and him and his gf got a talking to by the teachers, saying that they know 'all about them being together' and that it was affecting all their friends or something like that. I mean, all they do is hold hands...geez

I finish school forever tmorrow for ever...incase anyone wanted to know...then theres exams...ridiculous banning however.

Hah, I didn't read past the banning of holding hands and stuff.
None of my schools had any such act accur, though there was a couple of used condoms found...maybe....the teachers got a bit frisky.

Not sure we finish now then have exams up untill midway through November.
