I just wish the club would get some closure on this issue! The longer it goes on, the less hope for a positive outcome.

Nick's manager is Ricky Nixon.......I have no idea if it's a pay dispute, homesick, family illness, inter club problems, depression, broken heart or what! I don't want to make assumptions or second guess anything or anyone. I just hope that whatever the issue is, that it can be resolved! After all, he does have another year left to play out on his contract so he either plays or sits out for a year or we strike a deal with Sydney! I do hope he decides to stay but for whatever his reason, I think he needs to have time out to work it out, he's young and is probably just going through the motions...Tarrant had a similar problem not so long ago and he saw the light! Let's hope Nick can too! Hopefully he will realize that these guys who he's played with for the last few years, also known as his mates, can give him moral support and remind him of all the hard work they have done to come this far and he is a very important part of the team that they have all built together! But on the other hand...if his heart is not with the pies....THEN WHO BLOODY NEEDS HIM!

its just frustrating the idea of spending time developing these young talents then seeing them run off to play for the enemy. The concept just doesnt sit well with me.
dunno??
any one see my point??

Glad he will be at training but I am more concerned about next year and beyond. It must be priuority No.1 to sign him to a 3 to 5 year contract - even if we have to over pay him for the next year or so.

If Nixon is his manager we have some hope. He is a reasonable person and looks after his players. He also has a good relationship with Eddie and has stated he tells his clients Collingwood is a "preferred" destination. I was a little concerned with the Sydney connection having some tie in with Ron Joseph, for whom I have absolutley no respect.

where's kent butcher:

You say there are two ways you can go, welcome him back and show him support or tell him to 'nick' off.

The answer should be simple - what's best for Collingwood?

The best thing for Collingwood is to have a happy Nick Davis playing for us. So I suggest you gather your 19's, head on down to McHale stadium and welcome him with open arms.
