AN ex-Outlaws Motorcycle Club president will be behind bars for at least the next year on charges of theft, handling stolen goods and robbery.

Judge Leslie Ross said Brendan Wayne Peterson, 32, had committed the offences during a six-week period last year while he was on bail over other firearms and assault charges.
He was arrested in May last year during a pre-dawn police swoop on properties linked to the Outlaws.

Peterson, of Tootgarook, pleaded guilty to two counts of handling stolen goods, two of theft and one each of attempting to possess a drug of dependence, robbery and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
