Post subject: Cloke ...after the gameReply with quote

When I went down to the rooms some time after the game [after the TV crew had left], Cam was nowhere to be seenfor the caoch's post match address. The medical room had its roller door down and no-one was allowed in. Some Willi players had their possesions in the room, and were upset, that they eventually forced the door open. There was Cam on a bench, with his father and physio leaning over him. The rest of the clan was in the room. ...did not look good.

Where is Richards, that superstar ruckman everyone wants to keep on the list instead of Fanning... injured again or just dropped?

Unfortunately for Guy, yet another outage. More than likely, had he been fit to play, Fanning would have ended up in the Willie 2nds. Fanning put in a reasonable performance, but I suspect MM will continue to run Fraser to the ground. With only 1 game at Willie left [last round is a bye] before the finals, Fanning will have to put on a super performance next week, before he can press for selection for the seniors. Me thinks he is unlikely to get a Collingwood guernsey this year [injuries notwithstanding]

COLLINGWOOD big man Cameron Cloke is likely to be sidelined for a month after dislocating his left shoulder in the final quarter of yesterday's match between Williamstown and Port Melbourne.

Cloke, 21, who had 17 touches, nine marks, 10 hitouts and two 50m goals in the TEAC Oval game, had recently returned to the Williamstown side after sustaining a similar injury last month.

His father, former Richmond and Collingwood champion David, and brother, Magpie Travis, rushed to the dressing rooms after the incident.

Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse, his coaching staff and skipper Nathan Buckley were all on hand to see Williamstown come from behind in the final quarter to win by 26 points.

Williamstown's 17.15 (117) to 14.7 (91) win left it in fourth place on the ladder and chasing a double chance.

After heading Port Melbourne by 40 points early in the third quarter, Williamstown lost momentum, the home side booting eight unanswered goals to hit the lead early in the last quarter.

Williamstown regained the lead after Collingwood list players Sean Rusling, Cloke, Julian Rowe and former Magpie and West Coast midfielder Andrew Williams booted goals.

Rusling was economical at full-forward, finishing with four goals from nine possessions.

From the game on Saturday I thought that Shaw, Rusling, Anthony and C2 were the obvious ones for possible promotion. Shame C2 hurt his shoulder as I think his form was such that he would have been an ideal replacement for Rocca, should the club decide to drop him or rest him.
