Are you doubting your own existence? The signature's existence? Or all of the above along with everything else??

I'm only half kidding! I remember the context of that sig but I'm bored and want a conversation to come home to tomorrow.

The question is, what am I saying? Am I saying this isn't MY signature, indicating that it is someone else's? Or am I saying this isn't my SIGNATURE, meaning it is something but it isn't a signature. Anyway, what does THIS refer to? If my signature is "this isn't really my signature" then I am contradicting myself. How can this be possible if you are reading it? Perhaps I am creating an illusion in your mind that makes you think that you're reading my signature, when there really isn't anything there... or maybe you don't exist and are merely a figment of my imagination.... Shocked

How was that? Laughing

Talking of the Bible, Ecclesiastes is a pretty good philosophical work isn't it?

Ah, I see.

However, given that anyone, even you I'd suspect, would acknowledge the existance of many gods in the minds, theologies and histories of the world's various civilizations, what is it that makes your god the one true god?
What makes you certain? And are you saying there are indeed many gods but only yours is true and correct? Or, are you saying that in actuality all these other gods don't exist and only your's does?

I'm always quite fascinated by the way in which people are happy to have a discussion about faith as long as it is their particular faith that is being discussed!
