Joffa, as a Christian, one would hope that one would espouse Christian type attitudes and love for their fellow man(or woman) and also those of other religions who do not recognise God and Heaven etc.
Think of Jews, Muslims, Hindu, Buddhist........they are all religions, but they don't believe the same as Christians.
So, to say one would have an unchristian like funeral sounded a bit like an insult to me, rather than actually respecting their opinions and wishes.

Not to be judgemental mate, but have you ever even just entertained the possibility that if god doesn't exist, you will have spent significant portions of your life talking to nothing? To put it another way: Can you imagine a group of fully grown adults chanting and singing asking Santa Claus to give them presents??
If you can, now you know how i feel every time i look at someone praying for 'forgiveness and salvation'. Not saying I'm right or wrong, but maybe you shouldn't laugh at our disbelief so offhandedly.

My reference was one of sarcasm and humour and that being many of us dont recognise God until death...im different i love God and have no shame in saying so and im alive and loving...it.....or should i say God

I watched Casablanca for the first time 2 days ago, and I have never been so stirred by a song as when the Resistance leader got the crowd in Cafe Americain to sing the French Anthem drowning out the German one...
