Could you imagine the outcry in the media if THAT bottle thrower had been a Collingwood supporter ?

Well can you ?

It would of been BAN THE BOOFHEADS part two on back page of the paper.

As it is not a whisper!!

I was listening to 3AW at the time and Dipper intervened and exclaimed it was a magpie supporter! Cant remember which commentater, but he asked Dipper, how do you know? Dipper said,"you only have to look behind the goals" (spose he was refering to the CS).
Glad it was brought to light it was in fact a Scum supporter, and Dipper, keep your pie hole closed until you get your facts right!!!!!
Indeed, if it was a Pie supporter, you can bet your life it would be the talking point and front page news for a week!

yeah right, Collingwood just kicked two goals in a row from free kicks and a Collingwood supporter decided to show his frustration by throwing a bottle on the ground? Something not right there? Can't imagine what Dipper was smoking Shocked

I'm surprised Joffa wasn't thrown out because he was in the general area.

Dipper did indeed claim it was a Collingwood supporter as the CS was behind that goal. However someone did later report that it was in fact a Carlton supporter who threw it.

On the television I noticed Joffa was sitting quietly in the middle of the screen whilst someone was pointing the culprit out. I agree that it was surprising that Joffa wasn't thrown out, after all we had just been gifted two goals from Carlton stupidity so of course all Collingwood supporters would throw something at the umpire. At least some journos would have you believe that.

yep joffa, you looked on your best behaviour on the TV. lol. You must have been concerned they'd pick on you, because you looked like a schoolboy who knew they had done wrong.

In all honesty, if 1 bottle thrown onto the field during a very very fiery Carlton v Collingwood game, with 60 thousand people in the ground is the worst thing that happened on sunday.....what a great game football is and what a great country we live in. If Collingwood played Carlton in the soccer, no one would leave alive.

Silly thing to throw it, and it probably would have recieved a bit more attention - a bit like the CS incident against St.Kilda and Gehrig back in 2004, something about a bottle thrown.

Stupid to toss any missile onto the field.
