Post subject: How we can get Misiti | |
|
Timagpie,
With all due respect, I don't fully understand what you are trying to say regarding misiti.
This is how Misiti can get to the pies.
If Misiti seriously wants to play for c'wood, then the first thing he will do is tell Essendon of his preference.
Essendon will then have to decide if they delist him before October 31.
If Essendon Delist him then Misiti can nomimate for the November draft on the 25 (which is usually for younger kids).
If Essendon does not delist Misiti then he will have to nominate for the pre-season draft in December.
Geelong has a pick before C'wood at 5 (assuming none of the other teams ahead of Geelong pick him).
C'woods pick is at 8.
Misiti can tell Geelong he doesnt want to accept their offer.
But if Geelong calls his bluff and pick him than he has to go.
Another way he can push Geelong away is to nominate a price higher than Geelongs and acceptable by C'wood.
This will force Geelong not to pick him up.
In the end you are really hoping that Geelong come to their senses and not pick up a player that doesnt want to play for them.
Pre-season (December Draft) are not negotiable.
In other words they are not tradeable.
I hope I have cleared things up for you Timagpie.
If i have confused everyone I apologise.

Heard on the 3AW rumour file this morning that Smokin' Joe is apparently heading to the Carringbush for $1 million over 3 years.........can't guarantee the credentials of the source though, sounded pretty dodgy actually, it was one of those "my brother's, neighbour's aunty does Eddie's dry cleaning" type of sources.

WKB, they have room in their cap but a huge hole in their bank account. Geelonhg is crippled by sdebt so Collingwood's best chance is to offer a big contract. That brings player payments relativities into the picture. Deaos he deserve more than x or y? Then what does that do to team harmony and future contract negotiations. It is not easy to balance the all the tangibles and intangibles. One important point for me is to decide whether, good as he undoubtedly is, will another midfielder add much to our results?

Balme was on Sport 927 this morning saying that they are still talking with Misiti, but he thinks that he will stay at Essenscum as it is a big risk for a player to nominate for the draft, hoping that the club he wants to go for actually picks him up. All a club has to do is agree to the contract and he has to go.
