Indian Telemarketers

I've had enough of them. Had a phone call this afternoon once again telling me "my number had been selected o win a new phone through V.I.P. phones". To which I replied this was only the 400th time my number had been selected to win a new mobile phone(Aparently V.I.P phones is a company here in Australia).

My self and this pushy indian lady continued debate on why they constantly ring us, untill she mentioned my address. This was the end of the end of the phone call, I told her to make sure never to ring my house again and for her to pass this on.

I was infuriated at the fact some Indian lady on the other side of the world knew my address, is this legal.

what you do is tell them to hold on a minute, put down the phone and then come back to it 5 minutes later and they will have hung up on you, they don't ring back after that

The last call i got i from an indian telemarketer, i just starting talking cricket. They love it. So for every question he asked me, i asked him back a cricket one. He soon got frustrated.

It's annoying when you have a bill from a phone company (we had one from AAPT) and we'd phone up and there was some foreign person was dealing with it and was being extremely bitchy about it and would not listen to any sort of reason.

I am now employed by a Call Centre, I work as a place that sells security systems, and Maths/English computer programs. They so surveys and then we call them. I will be phoning South Australia.

We don't call anyone at random though, if they have done the survey they are called up, and we go into detail and make an appointment with them to see a salesmen and buy it.

So I am going to be one of those annoying callers Laughing

If you racially abuse them they will black list you as they have been very upset by abuse from Australains. So they will list you as a don't call. (pardon the pun).

The rubbish about the new laws coming out is you have to opt out. WTF, if you want to be called you should have to opt in, the database would be pretty small and easier to manage. Politicians and Buisness working together again.

I still think you have to remember that these guys or girls are employed by someone here as cheap labour. So its hard not to be angry with the front person i agree, but at the end of the day its the employer that should be getting the responses. These people are only doing a job to survive like the rest of us.
But in saying that i haven't recieved 5 calls a week, like some people i know.

Has anyone ever noticed how Indians speak over you and don't listen to you? Not just the ones in Call Centres in India, but the ones here in call centres and also the ones I used to deal with here in IT.
