There's no point in trying to get Riewolt to make some sort of bullshit anti-homophobia statement. His credibility is completely shot before he starts.
I think the gay lobby should have just let this one go through to the keeper.
A bunch of footballers talking bullshit on commercial radio ... what do you expect?
Here's a bit of word association of my own:
RIEWOLT = footballer
FOOTBALLER = cretin
There is only one way to stop footballers making homophobic statements in public ... ban all footballers from speaking in public. It should be a condition of signing an AFL contract that the player should have its tongue surgically removed.
Not sure what's more stupid here ... the idiocy of Riewolt for saying what he said ... or the idiocy of the gay lobby for worrying about it.

But Victorian Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby spokesman Gerard Brody said Riewoldt should go further to prove his sincerity.
"He should encourage players and the AFL to come on board and deal with homophobia," Mr Brody said.
