I hear all these ex AFL players want a 10 milion dollar fund. Great stuff, I will go and see my boss from 20 years ago and get money for my damaged back and shoulder. Yeah right. I heard someone say the same thing to Mike Sheahan last night and his reply was that at least we had super. I would trade my super for the incomes they were getting pro rata from back then.
If I screwed up with my money its my fault not my former bosses.
Yes help them, but throwing money at the problem is not the solution. The Pies help former players and from memory help with some operations on some players.

Sorry mate, i opened a thread on main page, didnt see it here.
Yeh i agree with you, i dont like seeing anyone battling but they went into the game of there own accord and to expect something now is a bit rich.
Every man and there dog would come out of the wood work wanting there bit. Dont think the AFL have responded, but will be interesting to see what there reply will be. |

Maybe instead of giving them money the AFL could pay for any medical help that some of these former players may need or if one is battling depression or something the AFL could help them find some counselling for that.
Other then that I am not sure what else the AFL could do. _________________ Ðavâgé
