According to the Age Website this morning Clinton King has been traded to Richmond for Steven McKee.

They also reckon that the Colbert Deal has fallen through.

Can anyone confirm anything?

On face value MM&Co have got it half right. Clinton King is exactly the sucker-punch trade we've been on the wrong end of for years. Youngish player who's had a good year but when tested won't take the leap into the top bracket. Lets face it he's the 90s Matt Ryan - lots of pace, can win the ball but has the strength and kicking penetration of a 15 year old. Gut feeling that he's peaked and we've off-loaded him at his greatest trade-able value. As for the other half of the deal - well at least they're strengthed a weak area. Interesting McKee's best game for the year was against the Pies. Hopefully not another dud Richmond ruckman - Schaefer, Francis (honest trier), Smith. With 30-odd games in 2 years in a side with a lot of big guys he already seems well ahead of Smith. Still like to see Monky hang around for one more year - just to pass on some mongrel.

Callaghan would be a better proposition - much tougher and kicks crumbing goals.

Given our lowly position we need to secure a Blumfield type otherwise its a waste scraping the bottom.

Today is the d-day.
