As every week passes we see multiple cases of workers that have no choice but to accept what their employer offers them.

We are a long way off an election and Howard & Co hopes the anger disapears like the last IR thread on here. Rolling Eyes

Plenty of qualified people I know are looking at working overseas as their conditions are cut.

Howard and his big buisness cronies won't be happy until incomes are cut in half. The trouble is the ramifcations of less disposable income means people don't spend.

They want us to work for a bowl of rice.

I would love to sack John Howard for "operational" reasons. I just don't like the look of him.

And Costello should be sacked for smirking.

Alexander Downer has been known to dress up as a woman so I reckon we should get rid of him too.

In other words, in order to compete with the Third World we need to BECOME the Third World.

Great, huh?

but it's okay, Australian Companies will still be kept in business, because they can bring in all those 'skilled' workers from other countries to work for peanuts in the jobs that Australian's have held for years.

Work Choices......I didn't vote for them, did you? Did you even know that they were going to come in after the election? Or did Howard et al keep us all in the dark as usual?

Unmeployment figures have been release and it's dropped so expect the Government to Sprout about it. Mind you, if you work for an hour a week your employed.

It's alledged that the 60 year old woman sacked this week will be placed on a disability pension as Centre link does not see anyone employing her due to her age.

The Commercial media has spent the last 40 years telling little stories about aussie battlers being ripped-off, exploited etc by bad guys (Nobody rich and powerful of course ). The whole IR thing will be irresitable to them. How easy is it to sell to the media tales of aussie battlers getting pay cuts and unable to pay their mortgage. Who knows the stories may even last until the next election. I wonder if John Howard realises just how lazy the media is and how simple these stories are to tell.
