Post subject: We've cracked the Top 100 | |
|
The disappearance of the official site has had a dramatic effect on the traffic to this site. We are currently ranked at 77 in the top 100 Australian sports sites. The highest we've ever been is 34, but that was in April.
Normally traffic dies to a dribble at the end of the season and doesn't start to pick up until mid January.
Footy sites above us in the rankings are:
Official AFL site - 1
West Coast - 11
Hawthorn - 19
Essendon - 21
Footy 99 (Age) - 27
Brisbane - 35
Fremantle - 39
Geelong - 54
Richmond - 57
St. Kilda - 61
Carlton - 62
Western B - 74
Those behind us:
Sydney - 81
No other Club made the top 100.
All the footy sites in the top 100 are official club sites or major commercial sites - except for us

Newlly,
Q. Why don't public servanys stare out the window in the mornings?
A. They'd have nothing to do in the afternoon.
CONGRATS Nick, Mick and all bb users. |

Thanks
It really isn't anything we've done. The official site has gone awol and there are a lot of displaced Collingwood fans out there looking for somewhere to go and they found us. |

No footy and I've started watching the web site ladder - it's a worry. I don't know how long this will last, but we're still there.
Today's rankings:
Official AFL site - 1
Essendon - 10
Hawthorn - 11
Footy99 (Age) - 19
West Coast - 28 (must have been a nice day in Perth)
Brisbane - 31
Melbourne - 33
Geelong - 38
Western B - 39
St. Kilda - 41
Carlton - 43
Richmond - 62
Sydney - 70
Us - 77 (still on 77 after a quiet day)
Fremantle - 91 |

Not being humble nuv - you could stick a blank page up at that address and the crowds would still roll in... perhaps they're testing that theory.
The song is available on the song page. Enjoy! |

The official site is back. It came back last night and jumped straight into the top 100. We've now dropped off as I expected. At least we kept the seat warm.
Official AFL site - 1
West Coast - 7
Essendon - 8
Footy 99 (Age) - 15
Hawthorn - 17
St. Kilda - 31
Geelong - 41
Sydney - 42
Melbourne - 49
Western B - 57
Richmond - 59
Collingwood 60
Fremantle - 67
Carlton - 81
Adelaide - 82
Don't worry, I'm not going to continue this thread. It was just good to be up there for a while and I couldn't resist shouting it out. |

Nick & Mike you should both be proud of the position this site holds on the "Web Ladder". Don't be even slightly disheartened by the drop back down the ladder. If ever the official club site was going to score lots of hits it would be on Copeland night. Keep up the excellent work. |

Thanks for the support 2 Pies, but we're not disheartened. The official site is where we should expect it to be (up to no. 16 yesterday, back to 32 today), after all it is the official CFC web site.
I must admit though, I would be happier if it achieved the ranking on merit and not just on name. |
