Now I don't believe in hating people. I think that hate is a wasted emotion that has no positive impacts. However...
I really really really hate Madonna

I've seen her live in concert and she's awesome! _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

How the f**k can she get away with calling it a world tour when she'll only be performing concerts in the Northern Hemisphere?
Don't think much of the scrubber anyway. |

The 'World' Series only involves two countries. (Although I think the name originates from the initial sponsor of the series, a newspaper called the World or something of that ilk.) Get used to the fact that 99% of the planet doesn't give a toss about Australia, roughly the equivalent of Madonna fans I'd suspect! |

There is also something called World Series Sprintcars, in which drivers from Australia, Noo Zillan and USA compete.
However, there is an open invitation for drivers from Canada and Seth Airfreeka to also compete, but none have yet taken up the offer.
Most other countries that run speedway don't have sprintcars as such, but do have a class similar to super modifieds, which is what a sprintcar was first known as. |

well for one thing "crucifying" herself? One can only assume that she is equating herself with Jesus. I might be wrong of course, but I can't see what else she was trying to express there. Wouldn't be surprised though, as from hearing her interviewed in the past she comes across as incredibly egotistical. Also the thing with comparing Bush and Blair to Hitler, Bin Laden and Mugabe is pretty silly. (OK there's people here who would agree with her view but I think even so you have to admit it's going just a little over the top). _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

btw I don't see why Madonna should be respected. She obviously rates herself, but what makes her so much better than everyone else? Cos she's rich and famous? So is Paris Hilton. Because she can sing? Well, yeah, but so can Guy Sebastian. Anyway, it's not a statement that succesful women are not to be respected, and I find similairly arrogant males equally nauseating (eg Michael Moore and Derryn Hinch). _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

The list goes on and will continue to grow. Even going back to the original classical musicians they were not appreciated in their hey day. Madonna is probably the most talented Female Main Stream artist ever, she writes, produces and performs her own music and has it sell in bucket loads.
She joined an very elite group and is well above the Dianna Ross, Dione Warwick, Barbara Streisand and Olivia Newton Johns of this world. Only Dolly Parton as a female performer/write/producer comes close. |
Elite group? not a single genius among them, session musos are more talented, and lets not even compare these painted whores to real genius like Mozart, write a symphony at the age of 4 Madonna and I might be impressed _________________ The armchair critic that does nothing but knock the doers of the world is to be despised as a traitor to evolution |

They are all just a sad excuse for recording studio execs to jump into bed with Soft drink companies to inflict more acne on their target audience of 12 year olds? _________________ The armchair critic that does nothing but knock the doers of the world is to be despised as a traitor to evolution |

The Bee Gees also had another 5 or so go USA top 5 for other artist's. | But who cares Tess? Its pop music, its disposable art, you bop along in the car to 4 chords but then you grow up and realise its all crap _________________ The armchair critic that does nothing but knock the doers of the world is to be despised as a traitor to evolution |

The Beatles music is the soundtrack to the 60's.
Hey Jude
The Bee Gee's is a soundtrack to the 70's.
Stayin Alive!
Micheal Jackson's music is the soundtrack to the 80's.
Billy Jean.
You may not like the music as it may not be to your taste, but it's place in history is unquestionable no matter what you think. |
That does not make it good, 2 world wars will be remebered also. Its rubbish Tess, ask any real musician, it is deliberately simple, shallow and repetitive to appeal to its target audience, 12 year olds _________________ The armchair critic that does nothing but knock the doers of the world is to be despised as a traitor to evolution |
