Post subject: Southport Sharks for the Eagles Clash | |
|
This week’s game is going to be a ripper. Collingwood is now on top of the ladder, while West Coast is in third on the ladder and will playing on their home ground. Don’t think this will make the Eagles strong favourites, lets look at the stats!
In the last 5 years we have played at Subiaco 5 times, and won twice, which is extremely impressive when compared to our Gabba record. On top of that, we have beaten the Eagles the last 2 times we have played them. Last year we won by 23 points, and in ’04 we won by 18 points. This is going to be a huge match in terms of how far this team can go this year, so let’s cheer the boys on together!
After belting the Blues, the pies are on top of their game. Their second half performances this year have been outstanding, and a tribute to the massive preseason they have done, especially the high altitude training they did in Arizona.
We have organised with Southport Sharks to have a room available with a big screen that we can converge on together. The facilities at Southport are fantastic and better than anywhere else I have seen this last year, and I have tested quite a few venues for holding these type of functions, and most will not even give us a big screen. We need to make a commitment to this club, so we can stay there, and they will look after us. If we have numbers show on Saturday night, it will show them how keen we are, and they will be willing to help us out further. If we don’t get numbers there, then we will have to find another venue that will not be as nice to us. Please show your support this weekend and come along to Southport Sharks to watch the game, they are after black and white.
The Southport Sharks Football Club is located on the corner of Musgrave and Olsen Avenues, Southport. The game starts at 7.30pm, but why not get down there a little earlier and enjoy their buffet dinner. If you want to go for dinner, you must reserve, as it is a very popular venue, and nearly always books out. Here is a link to there dinner menu. http://www.southportsharks.com.au/html/dinner_menu.html
PM me if you are interested.
Hope to see you there,
