I am involved with the Hawthorn Football Club, and I can tell you 100% that Trent Croad is staying at Glenferrie.

Collingwood will chase, as will St. Kilda, but just because Channel 10 said that they will go after him, doesn't mean they will land him.

Trent Croad will stay at Hawthorn. Trust me on this one...

Then who will you trade? You don't need Holland, Barker, Croad, Hay, Rawlings and Thompson, but you do need more crumbers up forwards, and run off the bakline to help Crawford and Chick in the middle. Any one of those players would attract huge attention on the market, a lot of clubs need tall back men.

Why don't we need Thompson, Barker, Croad, Holland, Rawlings, and Hay?

They are what gives us our edge over shorter teams such as Collingwood.

The only Hawk that will go in a trade is Aaron Lord. We have a few crumbers who will come up this season, don't worry...

We need our talls, because if one goes down, we haven't got another tall to replace them. That is why I would play Croad in the midfield (in a Koutoufides type role), and if a tall goes down, you can put him in a key position.

I would be VERY surprised if they traded Croad.
I would be rapt if we got him but it won't happen.
He'd make a good CHB for us though.
