According CFC Official Website Ben signed a new 2 year deal till the end of 2003... Good to see he can be a great asset in the backline.

I am surpriesed to hear that. I really though he was trade bait in the eyes of the club. I guess he proved his potential toward the end of the season and good on him for taking his chance and making the most of it.
He gota BOG in the Brownlow too if I recall rightly.
