I was sort of surprised to find this on the herald sun site:

apparently Andrew Bolt has written a book, mainly made up of his 'greatest' newspaper columns... admittedly I'm not as much of a Bolt fan as I was a couple of years ago, as I've found he writes a bit manipulatively at times. But he's still providing an alternative view to that which is normally heard, and raises a lot of interesting issues. I'll get it if it's under $20. Scrap the lunch though, 55 dollars? Hell no

Yeah i'm looking forward to having a read of his book when it comes out. I find his articles in The Herald Sun very good reading.

Ok. I admit I may be a bit naive in some ways and certainly less experienced in life than some posters here. However, don't think I believe every line I hear, and I do regard Andrew Bolt with some cynicism, especially in recent times. But just because his columns are controversial, and express points of view that aren't commonly heard, do not mean they're completely wrong. For example, he is not the only one to have doubts about the stolen generation, which may be what you are referring to when you say his columns are offensive. Yes, people's political views will probably bias them one way or another, but that is why finding out the real story is so important. I doubt many of us (me included) know anything other than what the media chooses to tell us.
And Proud Pies, is it just because you disagree with what he says? I disagree with almost everything Jill Singer says, but I'm not saying that makes her a liar nessecarily.
All I meant to say in my previous post (may have come across wrong) is that offensive does not nessecarily equal wrong.

I disagree with 99.9% of what he says - no that's a lie, it's 100%. He is a self-confessed expert on EVERY issue known to modern humanity. His opinions are heard with depressing regularity from opinionated, self-righteous bigoted conspiracy-theorists who are intent on maintaining a 1950s status quo (not you Rick Parfitt!)
