Nick's 2006 Tipping Competition: Sponsor(s) and Prizes Wanted

NOTE: Tippers are unable to join as of yet, however, I will announce when this will be possible very shortly

Nick's is currently seeking a Sponsor for Nick's 2006 Footy Tipping Competition, to be hosted @ http://tipping.magpies.net

Last year the competition was fantastic, with some great sponsorship and donation of prizes from Treloar Roses - http://www.treloarroses.com.au - and the donation of prizes from Travel Planet (Toorak - http://www.travelplanet.com.au) and Magpies.net (who donated fantastic @magpies.net email addresses - http://email.magpies.net - together they helped contribute to what was a hard fought, and good spirited competition. Thankyou to those sponsors, it was highly appreciated.

Why do we need a sponsor?

Well, the sponsorship will allow us to once again run our in house tipping competition which is open to all members of Nick's and we wouldn't be able to run a competition like we did last year without it. Also, it helps grow Nick's, as people who join the tipping compeition must be members of Nick's. All of the sponsorship is donated to running the competition, and the prize pool. All monies go straight to the competition.

How much?

Again, we are seeking a minimum of $300, and anything more we can get will go towards the prize pool.

Like last year, we also hope to get some secondary sponsors on board. Details can be discussed with sponsors who wish to become secondary sponsors. Secondary sponsorship would be in the form of prizes, and exposure will also be given to these sponsors.

What do you get?

Well if you are a business and wish to donate towards the sponsorship, here is a list of what you will get. Note, however, this does not preclude an individual (or several individuals) from sponsoring the compeition. Details can be discussed if this is the case.

1. Naming rights eg. Nick's "Sponsors name" 2006 Tipping Competition.

2. Sponsors logo on the front page of Nick's Website http://www.magpies.net/nick (in the left hand side column). Link to relevant detail here also, a small page can be constructed on Nick's Collingwood Page for businesses without a website.

3. Weekly updates on both the front page of Nick's Website and in the General Discussion Forum on Nick's Bulletin Board, with the Sponsors name prominent.

4. A weekly updated leader board on the front page of Nick's Website with sponsors name prominent (in the right hand side column). Logo and link to relevant detail here also, a page can be constructed on Nick's Collingwood Page for businesses without a website.

5. Sponsors logo and Name on the front page of the tipping Competition.
http://tipping.magpies.net/

6. Sponsors logo and Naming throughout the tipping Competition.
eg. http://tipping.magpies.net/cgi-bin/comp.cgi

7. All communication to the members of the tipping competition will contain information on the sponsor, and relevant contact details.

Moreover, if further opportunities arise to provide exposure for sponsors then I will endeavour to promote your business as much as possible.

If the sponsor wishes, they can remain anonymous.

The Tipping Competition is run as a non-profit Competition, with prizes donated by the Members of the Nick's Community for the Nick's Community. It is run on a volunteer basis.

We feel that this sponsorship deal offers great value and exposure for the sponsor.

If you are interested in sponsoring the 2006 Nick's Footy Tipping Competition please don't hesitate to contact me either via the Private Messaging system or by E-mail at joel@magpies.net

Thanks!

Joel

Major Announcements:

Two of our fantastic sponsors from last year - Travel Planet of Toorak: http://www.travelplanet.com.au and Magpies.net Magpiemail: http://email.magpies.net - are back on board again.

More details once they are finalised. However, we'd like to thank Travel Planet and Magpies.net Magpiemail for again sponoring prizes for this year's competition.

However, we are still after a major sponsor for this year's competition. If you'd simply like more information, or would like to discuss this further, feel free to drop me a line. Without a major sponsor, it will be difficult to get a competition similar to last year off the ground.

Again, thanks to Travel Planet and Magpies.net Magpiemail.

Only problem with that would be the transport issue. Would be fantastic though. Thanks for the offer!!

Just a reminder it is essential that we get a major sponsor for this, otherwise we will not be able to run the competition in the same format as last year. It is getting closer to the season as we speak, so unfortunately that is a problem.

If you would like to discuss details, or certain aspects of sponsorship, then please contact me. Like I said, we are open to several individuals or businesses or individuals combining to sponsor the comp.

Another prize sponsor has jumped on board:

Thanks to punkologist, and Skewered Badges who have pledged a new Xbox or Ps2 game (game yet to be confirmed).

http://www.skeweredbadges.com/

Are you looking for a fun, simple way of promoting your website, band, store or forum?

Do you just want a badge that says something about you?

Give us your logo, photo or design and we can turn them into high-quality, one inch badges.

Not the creative type? We can design a badge for you! Just give us an idea of what you want and we will present you with several designs to choose from!

Alternatively, you can choose from our ever growing selection of ready-made badges, available in our store!

And remember we have no minimum quantities per order!

---------------------

However, we still require a monetary major sponsor to cover the cost of running the competition. Remember, this business/person will receive massive coverage. So if you have an Ebay business, or anything and would like to advertise your business, please get in contact with me.

This has been suggested. But I think we'd prefer money going their way if you know what I mean. I think that is the mantra that we are trying to live by.
