I use bitcomet, with most torrents sourced through torrentspy.
Another little program which I've found to be invaluable is peer guardian, this blocks junk data being sent to you and watching some of the addresses it blocks is quite amazing, railways in china, fbi-doj, etc. Havnt got the address for it, try google, update it and then run it before you start. Has saved me a lot of trouble. |

Hi all, Time Warner are using new laws to have you charged. Yes even here in Australia. What they do is release a file, track your IP address then contact Telstra. You will be forced off air so to speak. You maybe then charged with piracy.
Careful what you download, do a search as people will post the Time Warner files not to download.
You have been warned. |

If you like Prison Break you would like Vanished. Should check it out. Only in week 4 airs after Prison Break in the US. Gets better every week. _________________ Like Nicks, why not donate

Hi all Torrent Users. The latest thing that is pissing me off is winrar files that ask for a password. In most cases these are a scam to get you to go to another site. Unless you know who the seeder is dont bother downloading winrar files especially if its a late release movie saying DVD rip.
Avoid at all costs, some even have trojans that infect your system upon opening. |

And good advise it is, but if anyone is stupid enough to receive a file off a pc from someone they don't know, then they deserve everything they get. _________________ Whale

With you Culprit.
Never had a worry with files from torrents, but I agree with your comments on .rar files. These are only money making schemes.
If you cannot see the files contained in the torrent, don't download it.
If you are worried about viruses, install "Avast!" free home edition ad scan the file before you open it.
Simple steps that must be adhered to. |
