Couldn't find a manual but perhaps you could try here:

http://www.fordaustraliaforums.com/forum/
http://www.gpforums.co.nz/showthread.php?s=&threadid=235935&goto=nextoldest
http://www.geocities.com/falconfacts/falcon/xffalcon.html

Or if you want to buy one here: http://finder.pitstop.net.au/view/79/query/FORD|FALCON|13

Can I suggest that you go to Kmart,or Big W and go to the auto section and look for a Haymes manual and it will cost you about $57:00 or even go to http|://www.haymes.com.au/category 62_1.htm Go to this page and you will find the manual and you can purchase it thru Haymes.

Good luck.

So you don't waste bandwith unnecissarily & it makes it easier for other people to read the thread. Such an immature response, here was me thinking you were an adult.

PP, no use bashing you head with that fellow, all you will get is a sore head.

As per needing a manual, I dont know why anyone needs a french waiter to fix their car.. haha oh im the funny one arent i!

Seriouslly, no manual will actually have that in it, reason being because the dregs of society will purchase it and then do it themselves, to vehicles they do not own...

Recommend you visit your local wrecking yard, there would even be a "U-Wreck" or the like down there where you go into their yard and find the part you need, then take it to the desk and pay for it.

All you need to do is remove the casing from the steering column, pull out the ignition, take the wires off, and then place them on the same spots on the new ignition and then put the ignition back into the column and replace the plastic.

Dont forget thou - dont throw out the old set of keys as you wont be able to unlock the car then!

Thats all there is to it. Dont waste your money on french waiters for that job, they are more useful for DIY Servicing.

If your old man is completely non-electronic, then Id recommend you dont waste your time and just contact an auto-elec to fix it. Time taken? About 5 minutes, cost, about $150 bucks.

As for them not being bombs, they are old, so their age now makes them a bomb. Im pretty good with cars and I wouldnt touch one.

Just because your car wasnt a bomb Peter doesnt mean others arent. Not all people drive them at 40km/h all the time.

Good luck with it all katie, and any dramas, give us a hollar!

Cheers Mick
