Why do Collingwood & most other clubs 'tag"' Campo when playing against him?
Which midfielder at Collingwood gets 'tagged' by oppotion teams? |
I guess I look at the bigger picture in the years to come dude. Like another poster Jackcass said in another thread, I'm also more concerned that Collingwood should be interested in some 30yo hack when there are obviously young players with potentially longer term careers who will be over-looked as a consequence.
Play Tazza in midfield or play Davis or play another young player if you are not happy with our current lot. You dont HAVE to play a dope like Campo FFS
I also think that the youth policy is the correct policy for long term sustainable success. I just cant see the logic of getting rid of a former brownlow medalist like Woey and then getting Campo. |

Buckley, Burns, Licuira (in 2006).

Because he is/was their second best midfielder behind Stevens.

Buckley, O'Bree (was at times in 2005). |

Simple. Because " that prick from Carlton" is about to become a magpie........Spew.....vomit.....
MM's brain has been eaten up by the slow Ox or whatever... It NOW explains to me that he has totally lost the plot.
Well, the Bendigo League magpies don't recruit 30 year old mercenary hacks so it might be better to save heaps on petrol and watch them.. |

I think you are talking about Campo circa 2000. His '05 season wasn't anywhere near as flash and he is older again this year. Why do you think that Carlton wanted to cut his pay? |

Welcome Dale Thomas to Collingwood, the next Scott Camporeale of AFL footy.
A high flying midfielder getting kicks for fun. |

He is still a better option in the midfield for us than, o'bree, davis or burns. |

Dale Thomas is going to be a little gun at Collingwood, plenty of upside, good skills, gets his own footy, great goal sense, smart. Think Garry Ablett Jnr (apart from a similar hairstyle and coming from the same area as his old man, they play similar footy). |

I think one of the upsides on Thomas once he gets on the juice will be his tackling ability. Expect 7 or 8 tackles a game from this ball hound. |

Yep, we certainly drafted players who attack the ball and the man hard this draft. You'd have to say we obviously identified it as an area to improve. |

AND more importantly are Enthused and genuinely chuffed to be at Collingwood ! Extremely happy with ALL choices in draft. Time will tell of course, but promising times ahead I feel. Welcome "Tank". _________________ Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think! |

People said this player was better than that player but this years draft was the most open in 10 years.
Any one of the top 30 players could bloom.
Other than Stanley we also picked blokes who love a goal as well. |
