Dale is right, it is now legal (again) to install modchips in your game machine. Although it was never illegal to install one in an Xbox as far as I know (because it was a Sony civil action, not an MS one).

David, if you get someone who knows what they are doing to do it, then you won't have any problems.

Video games suck, they promote violence and destruction (excluding quiz and educational games) and yes I have played many of them.

How many of you, have/had desturbed sleep patterns?

I have a disturbed sleep pattern every night, but it hasn't got anything to do with playing video games. I often sleep better after a heavy session of Max Payne 2 and F.E.A.R.

Sports games just don't crack it, anyway try doing the real deal, exercise is fun and very healthy, stimulates the mind with greater satisfaction than mind warping TV pixels. Idea

EBB, all good and well if one is healthy enough to do all that. 25 years ago, I would have said the same, but two broken ankles, a destroyed knee, a dislocated shoulder and hip, all whilst living in what was then a very outbak Darwin, and now don't have the ability to undertake exercise of any form.

Hell, I struggle just to get to Gate 4 of the MCG from the bus parking area.

My sleeping patterns have never been affected from videogames, only when I got Smackdown Shut your Mouth rented, I spent the night playing that because it was an overnighter.

I have found playing violent games to relieve stress, and help me put my anger into beating up/killing a video game character. I'd say that is better then going outside and doing it for real when someone gets on my nerves.

what about movies? I slept through a movie once, and my dreams were a bit distorted.

Nah, I haven't played a game in over 3 months, been too busy to, violent games are only dangerous if someone with a warped mind decides to take a game seriously.

I remember in America parents trying to link a driveby to Grand Theft Auto.
