Congratulations Pebbles for proving all the doubters wrong with a great game against the best side in the competition.

Lets hope for another great game against Carlton this week.

Well done to Benny Kinnear and Scotty Burns for great games in the seniors this week.

Its all or nothing this week pies

Too bloody right. Ant was sensational! Did anyone see Ant look into the crowd when he was at FF (Punt Rd end) during the 3rd quarter? You could tell he was pumped, he just stood there taking it all in. Anyway, take a bow Pebbles.

I have been a Rocca critic in the past. He did play a great game against Essenscum and congrats to him. My problem with him is his consistency. I hope he backs it up with a good performance against Carlscum.

I am prepared to eat my words. Yum yum.

I don't think Pebbles has made any more mistakes than any other player this year. The problem is that for some reason (unfortunately for Ant's sake) his errors seem to stand out more and maybe at times we expect a bit too much from him.

He's put in a damn top effort this last few weeks and except for a couple of blotches during the season (which all the boys have had at different times) has had a fantastic year.

Well done Pebbles, thanks for all your hard work.

GO PIES!

Marg

Joel have you seen any games this year? Anthony Rocca is one of the most inconsistent players in the AFL and the most inconsistent player at the Club. On Saturday night he showed how good his best is. But too bad he rarely ever plays like that. At his best he is a star but his problem is he only plays his best maybe 6 or 7 games a year. That is not enough for a player of his ability.

Budgie you're absolutely kidding. Pebbles has played three poor games all year, against Richmond (X2) and Hawthorn (rd. 1), that's it! In the others he was at least serviceable and now he's starting to tear teams apart. To me, that makes him our most consistent all year! You're a star Pebbles and it's morons like Budgie that stops good teams becoming great teams. Go Pebbles. Go Pies.

Hey give Budgie a break. Does servicable constitute being consistent? I think that it is just a bit frustrating on my behalf (and maybe Budgie's)to see what Pebbles is capable of but it doesn't happen every week. Maybe I expect too much from him? I do believe he is more 'consistent' this year. I just wish he would tear defences apart every week. Am I expecting too much?

Rash - You are expecting a bit much. No player can play that consistently all season, sorry!

Budgie thats absoloute Bullshit and deep down you know that. Anthony Rocca has had a great year i think. All of our players at one time or another during the year have had flat spots.

Anthony Rocca has been a star in the last two weeks of the season and has been far from our worst player. Get of the guys back and give him a break.

I, like rash and others, have been critical of Ant. I think he has been inconsistant and generally dissapointing throughout his (admitedly short) career. After preseason & early games he was at the crossroads. I was doubter. His gameS against Carlton and Melbourne (as co-captain) and the last 2 weeks have shown what he can do and the obvious influence he can have over a game. His worst efforts have become better and less frequent. He played his 100th game this year and it was time to stand up and be counted as one of the few "experianced" players on our list.

WELL DONE ANTHONY FOR STANDING UP AND BEING COUNTED.
