I think its good to do that, to much is just to much. No disrespect to ne1 intended (i mean that sincerely). But I didnt want to watch to much of it coz it just gets to you.
I dont live in fear. I think of it as, if it happens it happens, nuthing we can do about it. Although in my honest opinion if it happens in Australia it'll probably happen in Sydney. |

Its so terribel that yesterday london was the toast of the world with olympic games, and today it is a disaster zone. It just isnt fair. My thoughts go to all those injured or have lost a loved one. Good to hear from nicksters too

To all nicksters on the boards iam fine in edgware road and glad to hear london dave and others are fine.
Its been a while since my last post but in light of what has happened its a time to touch base with family , friends and a like.
I live in a block of flats just 1 minute walk from edgware tube and I felt shuttering in the basement flat which i share with a danish girl, new zealand guy and another student. Danish gilrs fine with her close friends nz guy stayed at a hostel in the city and the student is staying at her uni campus but will see them tonite.
I was going to head off to work at mark and spencers russell sq at 9am when i could see smoke around the station every where.
I am extemely lucky . I was 30 minutes late . Thank God
I am going to give blood at the near by st.marys hospital.
Very sad times. Hits home how valuable life is.

I find the whole deal with terrorism really depressing..... it is a large problem and while obviously not all muslims agree with the philosophy behind it, it seems to be an inbuilt culture in a lot of these countries.... look at Palestine. The thing with terrorists is its not as simple as just a country like Iraq involved, its a whole underground movement throughout the world. How do you stop that? All I know is that the London attacks show that terrorism is alive and well and that all efforts so far, including the war on Iraq (which has had some positive results) haven't really done much to attack terrorist organizations.

True, but that ignores all the good that religion (OK christianity) has achieved..... still you have a point, only religion could lead one to be, say, a suicide bomber..... they do it partly cos they are promised great rewards (lots of women) in heaven. As for multiculturalism, I don't think thats to blame but I'm sure there would be many who agree that it doesn't work.
