Deaths reported after blasts hit London

A number of people were killed in a series of explosions on London's transport system at peak hour on Thursday, causing chaos in the British capital, police and transport officials said.
Several blasts hit the underground network and police said there had been at least three explosions on buses in the city.
A source at the Metronet consortium that runs part of the capital's underground network said "there were three explosions and there have been some fatalities".

I travel by train to work everyday, and go through the loop and catch the train in the loop, and everyday i think about what if......
such a sad state of affairs that the world has come to this.

My mum drives into the city to work at MYER 3 days a week, and I am often on buses and trains throughout the city. Everyday activities we take for granted until things like this occur.
I was in London in 1999, went on the TUBE etc, so I can in a way picture this happening and it's really sad.

Dont think about what could happen. That is the worst thing you can do as thats what these arseholes want us too do, that is live in fear. DO NOT live in fear. If you do then they win.

these people that did the bombings are cowards!!
as soon as it came up on the news they were saying power surge. i was thinking to myself omg another terriost attack.
the people in london have gone from joy as in having the olympics in 2012 and now 1 day afta have had the worst day ever. |

Channel 10 never show things like this.. they always stick to their entertainment, which, tonight, was Law & Order.. why do they do that?

i realized that, i was going thru the channels and noticed that channel 2,7,9,28 (sbs) were all showing it. channel 10 was showing every one loves raymand lawand order etc |

Its just so sad. It might be us one day. The dirt that are known as terrorists deserve to cop what they give. Can't you just feel the panic coming through your TV?

I didn't even really know wtf was going on because all 10 did was show it in a news update, and didn't make it sound like a big deal. Later we changed it to 7 and it was full coverage.

Heard on 774 this morning that Ch10 made the committment years ago that their news service would not be their number one priority. They decided that they wouldn't invest as much in that area, and stick to the entertainment when it comes to this sort of thing. They figured that if they really need to they can cut to CNN or whatever, but people will want to tune out.
These attacks are shocking. I've got a mate who is over in London at the moment for a couple of months, I'm waiting to hear that he is all good.
