the only comments i have to make is......
It is NOT natural for a grown man to sleep with children, particularly those that are not his own.
It is also NOT natural for a parent to allow this to happen.
and my final comment

Apparently, the members of the jury were seen rushing to the bank to check their balance BEFORE handing down their decision. _________________ Whale

I heard that a juror signed a deal with a book company before any decision was made. |

Didn't really think he'd walk..... there was a lot of evidence that he was guilty..... still how stupid were the parents for letting their kids stay the night at Jacko's place?? I wouldn't let him take care of my pet rat _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Not doing anything good ol' Aussie jurors wouldn't be doing if it was legal. Warhol's 15 minutes.
Jackson got found not guitly of molesting some kid betwwen date x and y. Big deal. Just goes to show how employing decent PI's evens the playing field when faced with a vindictive DA and unlimited (almost) funding. How the hell the prosecution didn't know about the mum's 'problems' borders on the inept.

Like EVERYTHING else, we are quick to judge without knowing all the facts. We only get to see what the media tells us...... and geez they are never biased.
I've got no idea whether he did anything untoward or not but the thing I do know is that I'll never know for sure, and neither will any of us. He's had his day in court and rightly or wrongly he got off..... good luck to him. Hopefully he continues to put smiles on the faces of millions through his music and dance like he has for the past 30 years. _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

Too true. I'd say most of the US media commentataors I saw and heard over here seemed gutted he got off. (Admittedly this is based on watching the verdict and it's aftermath on TV, coupled with a bit of radio coverage) One bloke I heard who I think wrote for the local paper where the trial was could'nt even slightly disguise his diappointment. He must have already pre-written his 'Jacko in the slammer' articles, poor thing. |

Seems like a case of who you was to be trusted. Anyway, here's my two cents worth.
It seems to me that Jackson's out of court settlement of a decade ago shot his credibility to pieces but may have helped him this time. The prosecutors were unable to convince the jurors that they were not interested in money, and combined with what was probably a poor presentation of evidence failed to get the convictions.
I am sure that the papers would loved to have seen a conviction but then again guilty verdicts and fallen stars sell more newspapers, so I am not surprised that they were gutted.
Unfortunately if Jackson is indeed a paedophile this case will probable deter any potential victims from taking action.
It seems to me that Jackson may have trouble funding similar court cases in the future. He has not put out any decent music since Quincy Jones stopped writing his songs for him and seems to be relying on Beatles royalties to keep him afloat. His fans might stick by him but he can never hope to be accepted by the wider music audience. So yes, he has got off for better or worse, but anyone who thinks that he can ever return to the glory days of Thriller is kidding themselves. _________________ I still reckon Rocca got that goal

The man displays classic phedophile behaviour and has had a long series of allegations and out of court settlements on the matter brought against him.
As one juror commented, they felt he was probably guilty of phedophelia, just not in this instance.
At the end of the day, I feel sorry for the 15 year old kid. However, I also have no doubt that there are some sick bastards out there that would put their own children 'in harms way' in order to milk some cash from Jackson.
Remember, the kid had to convince the police first that there was a case to answer and as a 15 year old boy even that whole experience must have been very traumatic. That he convinced the police that a crime had been committed after numerous inteviews and councelling sessions suggests to me that if you can afford a multi-million dollar legal team in the USA then you can probably get away with just about anything, ask O.J.
To para-phrase Proud Pies: Grown men don't sleep with little boys and responsible, loving parents don't let their kids sleep with Michael Jackson.
I have no doubt he is a phedophile and I hope he gets done for it as soon as possible. |
