What a brilliant game against the Cats - disciplined, creative, versatile, tough and team-oriented. I don't know what you guys think, but Swanny's form is like a long overdue gift from the football gods. It's about time we got some unexpected fortune.

And well done to the lad because it's all about G&D for a player of his make-up.

He doesnt have pace or sublime skill, but has more heart than half the team. To me, he is the player chad morrison was supposed to be. The big body in defence, cool under pressure. Is there room for 2 slowish players in our team? Swan is definately ahead of morrison. Swan has showed a bit of class and poise when in possession of the ball and has striked me as one of those players that doesnt get beaten very often, ala clement, presti, burns and licuria.

He's definitely quicker than his body shape suggests. He's probably medium-paced (his running not his bowling!!), although his composure on the ball might make him look quicker than he is. Another reason to watch the replay for the 6th time!!

Very fortunate that the team at CFC do not listen to their so-called supporters demanding him to be sacked.

Swan's emergance over the last couple of games has been a revelation. I was one who was calling for his delisting &/or trade at the end of this year. I'm still not convinced he has moved beyond that status, I'm not getting too carried away and will reserve judgement until season's end. If Swan does continue to perform at the current level though it confirms that we do not need C Morrison on the list!

Side note from the Publishers of DEFENDING DANE SWAN - Part 3 - Kade Carey has got 12mth community based order with a City Car Wreckers firm and is showing incredible effeciency. Dane Swan has not retrieved mobile phone messages left by Kade as most are indistinct.

He cracked me up in the geelong game. He made a strong lead from full back and run 3/4 of the length of the field to just fall short being the free man in space in our forward 50.

Best of luck to him

Not slow, for sure. Looks it, with his stocky build, but a very effective footballer.

As long as he plays well, and doesn't do stupid things off the field, I am fine with him in the side.
