He broke a kid's cheek with a weapon, why have I not heard anything about him being rubbed for the season? If it had happened on the street he'd be inside for 6 months!

I watched the game, and every time he went into a pack he led with his forearm. Why not just give the cowardly mongrel cheat a baseball bat?

He'd better not be wearing that thing against us. Imagine if he broke Rowes cheekbone? They'd be coming over the fence at him! As if Diver isnt a big enough cheat already, now he's armed!

Surely he's gotta get at least a month?

It all smells a little bit like Lynch last season with Wakelin. Lets all hope that arm of Lloyds gets shattered again. I hate him.

There needs to be a rule for when injury is caused whether it be accidental or not.

Exactly. Has nothing to do with Essendon or Lloyd it is 100% an AFL stuff up for letting him wear something that so clearly could be dangerous.

As Thurgood's skipper Richie Vandenburg said on Channel 10 News, the fore-arm is a strong part of the boyd and Josh would have been injurd anyway. It would have been looked at, and was definitely a 50/50 sort of situation. The arm-guard has been approved by the AFL, making it fine for him to play with it. It was a head-on collision, with the players going in hard. IMO, the AFL has made the right choice.

BTW - Good luck to Thurgood in his recovery - I love his brave style of footy.

Of course he's got off, he's Essendon. Different set of rules.

This is bullshit, watch the replay, he went into every contested situation leading with his forearm. It's a wonder more people werent injured, I guess it's because Diver doesnt go into packs very often. Imagine if a real player like Archer had that thing on!

I believe Lloyd should get some kind of fine. Its like using a weapon, accident or not, something should b done. This poor kid is in hospital. Imagine if it hadda been one of our young guns, treat it like that people.

The actul footage it looks like Lloyd doesnt have eyes for the ball. Also back page of the herald sun (yesterday 11th Of April) showed Lloyd's "protected" arm in the face of sam mitchell. I still believe he is using it as a "weapon" so to speak
