Wonderful again MB. After watching it at Kardinia Park nice to get the TV camera view of it.

...and two Collingwood defeating Geelong's on the same page - well done again!!

Firefly.

One of the lower order, lesser known members of my Gallery. A sociopathic pyromaniac with a tendency towards dangerous incompetence. Also has developed a bit of a penchant for torching Sherrins these days. No doubt he picked up that habit from the Sherrin Slaughterer during their time together in Arkham.

I suppose with the hot weather of late, Garfield Lynns was bound to show his face (or whats left of it after a botched firebombing of the Gotham Museum a few years back). And he didnt miss his cue. Responding to a call over the GCPD dispatch system, I found a series of small carefully choreographed grass fires in the middle of Robinson Park, right next to the central lake, which was helpful since Firefly doesnt usually make a habit of setting his fires next to a source of extinguishment.

Upon aerial surveillance of the scene with the Batwings wide-angle camera, I discovered that the series of small shrub fires was in fact an elaborately choreographed series of (yep) letters and numbers, which together formed this weeks batch of strings.

Heres how it all came down. Now, to put out all those little shrub fires before Ivy wakes up and declares eco-war on Gotham. Again

It seems there's a new villain in Gotham.

With his reported inability to grasp a murder weapon cleanly and tendency to make an absolute hash of simple tasks (including the act of picking up and kicking of a football), his patter of committing crimes has the popular press calling him "The Footy Fumbler".

I honestly don't know where they get these names.

The Fumbler himself, however, has disappeared after initially going on a semi-competent rampage through the Entertainment District. This new threat's moniker has a vague ring to it. I suspect part of the answer will come after making a visit the Asylum to interrogate an old menace, The Sherrin Slaughterer, because I have a growing feeling that the Fumbler is either a very poor copy-cat, or an accomplice. A bit like what Harley Quinn is to the Joker, only more accident prone...

Right now, though, I have just finished decoding a message that the Fumbler left spray-painted on the side of Knights Stadium. After performing some complex number swapping algorithms (it seems he painted a '7' instead of an '8' in a fair few places, which is an easier mistake to make that what you might first think), I eventually deduced that the Fumbler had left me (yep) some more of these letters and numbers strings that just keep popping up for no good reason.

Here's what I came up with. Now, to fire up the car and head over to Arkham to chat to the Slaughterer...

This was the worst autopsy I have ever had the misfortune to perform. But perform it I had to, even if it took me two days to work up the courage.

Of course, there was the small fact that there really wasn't much of a corpse to perform an autopsy on in any event. Between the two sociopaths and their worst compulsions, this once full of promise vessel was reduced to a broken, withered husk. The poor sack of shit never stood a chance.

I suppose it was inevitable that something like this would happen so soon. Ever since that moment the news broke around dinner time on Thursday night that The Joker and the Sherrin Slaughterer had staged a joint breakout from Arkham Asylum. Ever since my last visit to the Slaughterer, he and the clown have become quite close. One could almost call it a match made in heaven. Throw Quinn into the mix and you have the makings of the worst threesome since Arnold, Uma and the wrestler guy...

The victim was, quite simply, beaten to death, with scarcely a sign of a struggle. It was almost as if this thing in front of me had rolled over and died before a single blow had landed. In my experience, the only people who do that are martyrs and cowards. Sometimes both.

Curiously enough though, upon further examination I found stenciled onto the victim's skin a familiar pattern of letters and numbers. One more taunt for the pile, I suppose.

For the sake of completion, here's my report, in four equally shocking parts. I would strongly advise you, though, not to look at it, not one little bit. Just file it away in a cabinet and forget about it...

Now, to track down Joker and the Slaughterer before they can start their crime spree in earnest. And while they may be psychopaths, there is nothing wrong with them that I can't fix with my bare hands...

Its been a Hell of a week. In between the three psychopaths running loose and the Kryptonian freak (both of them) smashing up shit, Ive scarcely had time to draw breath, let alone a picture. And the times I have had the opportunity to put my head down have seen it become filled with some truly weird sh-t.

Take this one dream from Monday. Ive done what I usually do (fall asleep sitting upright in my command chair in front of the computer), when suddenly Im jolted awake as this great big hole opens up in the screen and some guy in an armoured red suit pokes his head out and starts babbling a whole lot of stuff that made absolutely no sense. And when you consider some of the stuff I come up with here, thats saying something

And then I wake up properly (again), computer screen well and truly intact and pieces of paper all flying around the cave as though a tornado had scattered them. Truly weird. I thought for a second that Crane had broken into the cave and started scattering his Fear Gas around. Or that Alfred had spilled some LSD into my glass of water

One of the pieces of paper floated around a bit, then made a perfect landing on the keyboard in front of me. And written neatly in red ink on this piece of paper was a perfectly formed set of letter and numbers, which I now turn over to you for your decipherment. Hopefully you can make better sense of what went on than I can
