Get over it. Lets see big fat kim get in and lets have a real parilment again!

I really want to see Kim get in because at least he is a professional. Mark is just a twat.

I'm a Liberal person, but if Labor wanted to get anywhere, that was the first step. Latham, IMO, gave them a bad image, and while he may have spoken his mind, it wasn't always the right thing to do. While Howard seems to be reading what sounds right, he rarely steps out of line (except when he bagged Murali!).

Yeah, he will need luck earning a $100,000 parilmentary pension until he dies!

Come on Labor, choose Kim. He has experience, and the knowledge and Im sure the whole of Australia wants to see you take on John with some real policies, showing how the labor alternate can run the country.

Oh, and do stop licking the a*s of the greens, they are wankers and s**t stirers.

Maybe both will get a go? They have been changing leaders about as regualrly as Richmond has been coaches.

Funny how all through the Election Campaign Latham was saying that a Vote for Howard was a vote for Costello! Who would have recieved all of Lathams votes?

Funny also that Beazley resigned after the 2001 election and has spent the next 3 years trying to get back the job. And i see it took him alot of time to respond to the resignation of Man Boobs. Beazley is the biggest back stabber of politics.

I may be happy that we have a Liberal government but you have to worry a bit when the opposition are so piss poor.

I couldn't believe it reading in the HS something like "Beazley is a steadying influence on Labor and also the Liberal's greatest fear" Yeah right the Liberals are so scared of a guy who they've already beaten twice in election........
If I was a Labor supporter my first choice would be Rudd. He seems like a potential leader, although may not succeed in causing any major interest. Gillard seems a rough shot, after all she'd be the first ever woman to contest an election, that could well help her to victory or it could just as easily hurt her chances. Labor should avoid picking someone from the left, after all their alliances with the Greens didn't exactly help them last election. The way to look at it is the Greens only got 7% of the vote, and will only ever get that much. If Labor goes too far left it might gain them Green votes, but it will lose them way more votes. Anyway I now have to agree with what the commentators were saying when they stated that Labor couldn't win the 2007 election. Which is good cos the Liberals will do a better job of running the country anyway.

Fair post David, but...............

Howard was beaten twice before his 3rd and winning shot at becoming PM, so it's not an issue.
Gilliard the first ever woman to contest an election? (I'm assuming you mean woman leader) The Democrats may have something to say about that statement.
Avoid picking someone from the Left? It was the Labour Right that suffered devastation in the last election. In fact, the NSW Right has seen its numbers dwindle over the last decade.

I do agree with you that in the current climate Labour can not win 2007 election.
But I will soften that with the revelation that Kennett was considered unbeatable.
3 years is a long time in politics.

Beazley is a shocker, and Rudd and Gillard aren't much better. Labor has no real leaders.

But, Eunos is right, John Howard was initially unsuccessful as a candidate for PM, but eventually did. You never know what might happen.

So it's either Dudd, or Breazly Bruin? Geez, what a great choice.
