Ban Telemarketing!

I'm over the bloody morons calling our home offering all kinds of BS, and at stupid hours of the day.

I say BAN TELEMARKETING, and force organisations to ask for an individuals approval before ringing their address - similar to recent legislation on emails from organisations.

I'm not sure why it hasn't been banned already because it is an invasion of privacy, and the calls are often nothing more than nuisance value.

I'll sign, though they don't regularly call my house since we got the internet, and unplugged the phone. Though a couple have phoned the mobile.

We don't get many but they're still annoying and I haven't or wouldn't buy anything off them.

Do they sell anything worth selling? It's like those ads on TV, there is nothing ever worth buying they just put them onto be annoying.

Doesn't it also shit ya when those bloody idiots come knocking on your door around dinner time trying to sell stuff? don't they realise that we're probably eating dinner at that time?

When they call, just ask them to hang on a minute while you get a pen. Leave the line open and just walk away. Then it's them who get their time wasted. Word seems to get around telemarketing land. I used to get called regularly. after adopting those tactics, I can't recall a call for quite a while.

Well remember, the dudes who ring up, thats their job...... they do it cos they have to...... but yeah it sucks.... they should realise it doesn't work, just annoys people.......

I remember my friend she had a telemarketer call and asked for their name, phone number and address so they can bother them at home Razz

no the telemarketer called because it's thei duty to annoy Razz

and my friend asked for the person who was speaking on the phone's name, number and so on.

I know it's thir job, I have no problem with that, it's the tactics used etc.

I've answered the phone twice from these guys in the last week, and I've been on hold when I have answered, then a second or two later I come off hold with a 'Hello' then silence, I answer back, then I realise it's just yet another bloody telemarketer when I hear their voice.
