Denton set for Vics debut

FORMER Tasmanian paceman Gerard Denton is set to make his first-class debut for Victoria.
Denton was named today in the 12-man squad for the Pura Cup game with South Australia starting at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
Denton, 29, played 32 first-class matches for the Tigers, claiming 85 wickets at 37.78 before transferring to Victoria for the 2004-05 season.
With leg-spinners Shane Warne and Cameron White both in India with the Australian squad, the Bushrangers will rely on an all-pace attack as they start the defence of their Pura Cup title.
Peter Roach replaces retiree Darren Berry as wicketkeeper.
Opening batsman Jason Arnberger is unavailable with a back injury.
The team: Jonathan Moss (capt), Gerard Denton, Matthew Elliott, Ian Harvey, David Hussey, Mathew Inness, Brendan Joseland, Michael Lewis, Andrew McDonald, Peter Roach, Graeme Rummans, Allan Wise (12th man to be named).
