Cambridge Dictionary

Definition

sarcasm: noun [U], (the use of) remarks which clearly mean the opposite of what they say, and which are made in order to criticize something in an amusing way.

Cmorn, we're halfway through trade week. Only two deals (I've heard of) have officially been done and every football site on the net has got at least 3 or 4 dozen posters claiming to have the inside story on a done deal. Only for it to be revealed as complete BS, usually within minutes.

Okay, trade week is starting to get to me.

Dude - I am with you. Frustrating as hell.

I remember last week when we were convinced we had signed Stevens and it would be done only for Choco to ruin it all.

Not sure what hurt more - GF loss or that in the end.

I cannot imagine the Pies are going to sit on all that spare cash unless they are stockpiling for the great 'Judd'. My bet is, they have learnt from last year and will wait and swoop in PSD if necessary.

Tex won't be traded. He has stated he will stay - and he is our project player.

I actually had a dream last night - Gehrig for Tex! Shocked

Tex will be playing for Collingwood in 2005.
Balmey said he will "definately" be there next year
Scotty Cummings is working with him at the moment and said he would be there.
Tex said "im not going anyway" on Friday night and I think the players would have had their meetings with the coaching panel by then

Tex is going to become a true monster of the game and just the kind of bloke to put knuckles Brown from Brisvegas back in his box.

Btw, I would prefer to keep Tex over Morrison (even I know the thread is a joke).

Yeah anyone seeing Fraser Gehrig in their sleep should be very alarmed.

I know this threads a joke, but Walker is one player that should be retained at all costs.

Will be a very important link to our team next season.

Collingwood supporters expect a lot from Tex. So far he has shown he is a very good athlete but a pretty ordinary footballer. He can't read the game and he can't get a kick unless it is kicked to him or he is lead to the ball. This may well change as he plays more but right now he is an athletic but ineffective forward and a backman who gets beaten badly and can be heavily scored against. His best game was v Sydney in 2003 and even then he basically had 1 quarter where he got a couple of hit outs and took a mark.

I am more than happy to keep Tex and try and develop him because if it all clicks for him he will be a fantastic asset as a quick, agile strong key position player but his development will either be at Williams town for the best part of the next 2 years or we will have to accept little positive impact from one member of the 22 for a long term pot4ential gain.

The bottom line is hopes being pinned on Tex are premature and ultimately might be misplaced. The upside is potentially very large though. Just remember though, that it took a long time for Kouta to work it all out and be a serious impact player. It took a long tome for Mal Michael to click. It hasn’t happened yet for Trent Croad.
