Is this Thompson deal 100% correct? If so, the Hawks have won out of it.

I feel we need to do something this time. And very soon - stop the bs and get on with it.

Thompson suffers from depression. He was named captain under the regime of Donald McDonald.

Donald McDonald is now an assistant coach at North Melbourne. Nathan Thompson is now a Kangaroos player........see the trend here people.

Perhaps Roos can afford to give away early picks to Hawks for Thompson as they know they are getting pick 7 from the Pies for Harvey.

I havent given up hope yet

I still think we are in the race for Harvey, although it looks unlikely now...

I think pick seven will go to the Cats - they're just trying to make us take Wojiski or whoever and not have to give up Kelly or Bartell or Tenace, but we hold the upper hand because they really really really want Ottens (and why wouldn't they with their lack of tall options). So I'm happy for them to do nothing until later in the week when we might need to chuck something else to Mark Thomspon (as well as 7) but until then, sit tight and see what happens. Richmond will accept nothing less than pick 7 as long as we are still offering it to the Cats (until they start to squirm on Friday). The Essendon rumour worries me a bit but I doubt the Tigers will move on that until late in the week, unless we trade of pick 7 somewhere else.

And I'd love a midfielder of quality from this draft but in all honesty I doun't rekcon our list is too bad, we just need to be fit and prepared for a long season, unlike last year.

Essendon will be trying to rush deals as they have nothing to trade with other than shit.

Roos gave away too much for Thompson for mine. Clinical Depression, Lost the desire to play footy, getting on in age, injury prone/riddled. When he was fit and firing he was more servicable/capable than a genuine gun.

Sheeds is always there and abouts with these deals and has an incredible knack of getting good picks/players for off-loading his sh1te. Would love him on our side when we were trying to get decent options for the like of O'Bree, Williams and a few others.

Stories around that Chapman and Wojinski are leaving the Cats for an early pick but -where are they going for whose picks? (Pies? Dons? Dees? Elsewhere?)

Harvey may yet come our way but is does look a little less likely.

Seems MM is very keen on getting Morrison but we don't want to give up too much.

Anyone would be susceptible to clinical depression at Hawthorn... or Richmond... or the Dogs... bet he has a quick recovery at North. OR alternately at least Corey will have someone to go to therapy with.

*therapy circle at hidden AFL psychiatric enclave*

"Hi my name is Corey and I have a problem. I'm depressed..."

"Hello, my name is Thommo and I am depressed too, but not as bad as Corey is now, or will be next season..."

"G'day my name is Bruce.. no its not.. it's Lance and I am depressed over my eating disorder.."

"F^ck off! F^ck off! My f^cking name is f^cking Nick and I don't give a sh!t anymore, I want to play rugby. DON'T CALL ME A F^CKING HEADCASE ROOS"

*timeout while N Davis is 'settled down'.*

"Hi my name is Wayne.."

*'do your fly up Wayne please'*

"... and I love doing things with my...."

What a waste of two picks on a player that has done jack all in the last 2 years. The Kangaroos have a real habit of drafting players that are never really going to help them win a premiership.
