Not sure of his name, but he just said on SEN that he had spoken to Collingwood, and has been told that Leon is not up for trade.

If we give up Rhyce, the last thing we want to do is give up the only other player (bar Tarrant) with the pace to match.

Yeah, and like I just said, Collingwood won't be trading Leon.

Bloody Collingwood. Spineless recruiting department.

Magic man to shine in 2005.

Magic and Dids only need to do aerobic work over the off season to be great midfielders.

Dids in the mould of Leon Baker and Magic just like Black Magic - Maurice Rioli - but faster.

Good post. 2002 and 2003 showed our list was not quite premiership material. What did we do in 2004? Nothing. And it cost us badly.

Get rid of the dead wood, trade some names and get some fresh life in the list. Mckee and Kinnear is not enough.

Trade or delist (obviously dont delist some of the better ones) at least 4-6 of these. Not all of them but some of them must go.
O'Bree
Davis
R. Shaw
M. Lokan
Williams
McGough
Nixon
Mullins

sq3 is spot on - Leon will be a damaging, pacy midfielder, and will still pose a threat around goal when he goes forward. I'd hang on to him for sure.

I'd be happy with the rest of the names on MS1986's list there to go. Along with pick 7, we could do well this week by offloading some of them. I'd be more than happy if we could get the following:

Kerr/B Harvey/Bartel/Kelly/Tenace (possibly for Pick 7)
C. Morrison (possibly for McGough)
Zantuck (possibly for R. Shaw + low pick)
T. Johnstone (possibly for Presti + pick/player)

WTF? Why do people keep mentioning Presti? He must NOT be traded or delisted.

Because had a poor year, even before he got injured. His trade value right now is pretty good. The thing is whether he will go up or down next year. If he goes up and has a good year he will be great for the club. If he goes down and has another poor year then he is just going to be a 28 year old full back who cant get a kick and cant hold an opponent = worthless.

I hope we keep him and he has a big year. We can't keep em all tho.

He was injured ALL year. One poor year, and people want to delist a player like Presti. You have got to be kidding.

there is no way he would be delisted. no ones untrable but delisted no way. I'd rate him top 4 full backs in the comp when fully fit.

I don't think ANYONE suggested we should delist him. My list was trade or delist, obviously Presti is too good a player to fall into the delist catagory. The point is if we need to use him as trade bait so be it. Was Presti playing with an injury from round 1? Because I didn't hear anything about this. All I remember is he was getting flogged week in week out until he got injured.

travis johnstone for l.davis would be the best trade we could do if melbourne are interested in davis, i can't remember davis ever standing up and playing a good match against a decent team, and don't mention the game against freo this year cause freo are not a good team.

no matter what they say, almost everyone is up for trade. We would not trade Buckely or Tarrant, probably not Rocca. That's about it. If WC said to MM, straight swap Judd for Davis, Davis would be in WC colours, and that would be fine! I think he'll be good, but almost everyone is up for the right trade, it's just gotta be the right one, no matter what they say.

Leon & Presti wont be going anywhere. More likely to be McGough, Rhys & O'Bree.
