Well, i can think of a better trade if goughy does go....
Cameron Bruce to collingwood, goughy and our second round draft pick to melb.

Melb need an in and under player with scott thompson looking very likely to head back to perth!!!!!

no way, not a fat red-headed prick running around (or shuold I say walking) in the Pies jumper.

I like the sound of Bruce though, could be possible especially if we toss them lokan and obes too for maybe Bruce and a pick ?

We have enough talls. Next year we will ahve Rocca, Tarrant, Cam Cloke, Fraser and Davidson (fingers crossed) as tall forward options and that's before we start trialing Travis Cloke and Morrison. We also need to pump games into Crow, Hall and maybe Walker. We don't need the slow and injury prone Whitnall on our list. If he came dirt cheap I guess we'd have nothing to lose. For what he'd cost I much rather work on getting someone like Brent Harvey. Lets spend our pennies on the players we need not the ones we don't need.

Cameron Bruce, Brent Harvey, David Rodan. In that order.

Whitnall hasnt been any good for 3 years & anyway we need a skilled midfielder the guys I would target are Bruce & Johnstone from Melb. MCG was a melb supporter in his youth so he would probably be happy to be traded there

If Thompson heads home to Perth then he is a bit lost as he is from Adelaide.

Rodan we should be able to get cheaply for someone like a Rhyce Shaw. Rodan is ok but nothing special imo.

Cameron Bruce is a gun imo as he is a very adaptable player and can kick goals. Not sure Melbourne would accept a second round pick and McGough for him. They would probably want a bit more.

As for Whitnall it would be a huge risk. I would only get him if we were considering playing him at CHB. One of his strengths is his brain so he should be able to read the play and would bolster the backline. However Buttifiant (however you spell it) would need to whip him into shape. A pretty big risk to take and for the money he is on probably not worth it.

yes, lets get whitnell and then we can lay claim to having the biggest fattest piece of crap in the froward 50.

Whitnell could barely get a game at the Blues, why, oh why would we waste any position on him...

I wouldn't go for that trade, we would be losing a player with a long career for a guy that is almost gone.
