What are the whispers that people have heard? What trades would YOU like to see occur? Who will be delisted?

Delisted:
-Williams
-Kinnear
-Nixon
-Lokan
-O'Bree
-Mullins.

Which one of them will get traded to other clubs? Will any clubs want them?

What about Brent Harvey? Is it possible we can pick him up? Pick seven for Harvey maybe. Interesting times ahead...

Pick 7 has to be off-limits - we didn't go through that crap year for nothing!

I'd think a quick midfielder has to be our number one priority, though as we have nothing to trade it will have to be a 'James Clement' smokey...

Say a Ben Kane, Dylan Smith, David Spriggs ( Confused ), Jarred McVeigh, etc.

If you ask me we should be after Matt Bode, Jess Sinclair and Wirrpunda.

Leon Magic is spot on about who to look at. Wirapunda, Bode or Sinclair have all had down years who could return to their best next year. Any of these players would be a good pickup.

Don't trade pick 7!! That is to be used wisely. Dylan Smith was a top 10 pick in 2000, maybe an option...

Anyone suggesting our hard-earned pick 7 should be traded should be sent off to Siberia for the next eight months.

What we want is another real gun young kid added to Travis Cloke, so that we end up with two top ten calibre kids who will be with us for the next 10-12 years.

Soon we'll be looking like St Kilda! We will have Pick 7, Alan Didak (Pick 3), Chris Tarrant (pick 10), Ritchie Cole (Pick 10), Trav Cloke (Possible top 5 pick) and Josh Fraser (Pick 1)

Unless pick 7 is someone particularly nice, i think i'd prefer to trade it away for an impact player.

But with pic 7 we can (possibly - hopefully) pick up Richard Tambling - the Aarond Davey of the 2004 draft.

Surely to goodness they can get a trade for Obree. He had a few decent games and would easily get a game at Hawthorn or Richmond. If the club can't arrange a trade then that speaks volumes at our lack of ability in the trading area.

Harvey wouldn't leave North anyways, but they know we can't trade away pick 7 at the moment because we've already sacrificed a pick on Travis Cloke, we need to utilise that pick.

And as is the Malthouse way, expect the unexpected when it comes to the list for 2005. As was the case with resigning Ben Kinnear, someone on our list that we've all delisted already will survivor.

Its COLLINGWOOD SURVIVOR!
A list of 37 went into battle, the scars were there from early on. Tarrant look a like Davidson blew out another knee early on and Pebbles carried an injury throughout the year. The skipper, his back and hammies were strung. Now that list of 37 needs to be culled.......who will survive!

After Zane Leonard was elevated to the senior list from the rookie list before the season began, we had 40 on the senior list, not 37. It needs to be cut to 35 before the draft.

We'll use up two of the vacancies to elevate Nick Maxwell and Julian Rowe from the rookie list, leaving three picks in the draft (to get more picks - or say, elevate Justin Crow from the rookie list as well - we'll have to delist more than five players initially).

Three picks is the minimum we need heading into the draft, in order to utilise the third round pick on Travis Cloke.

Theoretically you should be able to have just 2 picks in the draft and use them for T.C. plus pick 7 - by relinquishing our 2nd pick or taking TC on 2nd pick (same diff).
could even use just one pick and not use pick 7, but that would be very silly.
All in all, getting 2 virtual top 10 picks (assuming TC is one) is very decent.

I'm a bit confused by this. If we have to reduce the list by 5, and then we promote 2 rookies, doesn't that mean we then have to reduce the list by 7 altogether? Then if we leave room for 3 draft picks, that would bring it up to 10 we have to give the big A. If we promote Crow (I hope) that would bring it up to 11. Maybe I'm missing something here....
